Hi, it's me with a weird question, again.
I was wondering if it's possible to make a bottom (let's say, jeans) to go under certain shoes like the military boots or villain's boots (the villain boots are from base game, the military ones are from Get to work). For example, there is a CC camo pants from Studio K that does this:
The first one is with the standard sport shoes, the second is with the military boots and the third is with the villain boots.
Is possible to do this with Sims 4 Studio? or blender? I know that Sortlayer (on warehouse tab) does not work, the pants have the same value.

hi! I can't remember a specific item since I never made ones like this but you need to check in game for a base game pants that already do this. clone said item, export their mesh and you'll see is divided into three meshgroups. you'll have to do the same for your mesh and divide it into pieces just exactly as the original with their respective cut numbers.
*edit: fix typos.

Edit: sorry didnt update the page before posting Hi. If you open a blend from this package or any other similar EA pants, you will see that they are made of 3-4 meshgroups. Like this Pant and some other CAS items are split this way for exactly this reason - to interact with different type of shoes. So if you want to make your own, you need to split your final mesh INTO THE SAME EXACT NUMBER OF MESHES AT THE SAME EXACT PLACES. You also need to assign the same exact Cut numbers ( which is how the game knows what to hide and s4s knows what to replace when you import a new mesh ). More about Cut numbers here

thank you inabadromance and mauvemorn ! I've just found a base game mesh that behaves like that (the chino pants) and have the exact number of groups (4). I'll clone it and copy the cut numbers just as mauvemorn said. I'll post the results later in the night.

AAAnd the results are here.Cloning the chino pants and appending my leatherchaps mesh did the trick, all I just had to do was to delete the groups from the chino pants, rename and carefully match the cut numbers on my mesh groups, just as you told me, and now I have a version of my leather chaps that is tucked inside the villain boots just as I wanted. Thank you inabadromance and mauvemorn ! Consider this solved.
