Ugh, every time I manage to solve a problem another instantly occurs! So this time I'm converting a lamp and I'm following orangemitten's tutorial on how to vertex paint the mesh for the light to look correct. But everytime I try to apply vertex paint on my mesh it just won't work! I've also tried applying paint in an original EA lamp mesh directly and still nothing. There's just no paint being applied. I've made sure I have the parts I want to paint selected and everything. Could there be something wrong with blender? Here is the blend file in case anyone wants to check it out.

Hi again! I tried your file and vertex painting is working for me. What version of Blender do you use? Can you try another one and see if that fixes it? There has been people reporting not able to vertex paint in the past and was fixed by changing the version. I don't think your .blend is the issue.

Thanks so much for testing! I'm using version 2.7 (didn't want to upgrade because i was worried about my current project in S4S) I guess I'll have to though. *fingers crossed*

Thanks so much for testing! I'm using version 2.7 (didn't want to upgrade because i was worried about my current project in S4S) I guess I'll have to though. *fingers crossed* You don't have to uninstall 2.7 if you have it as a program in your computer. Blender allows to download the folder version as a portable program, you can have as many versions as you want with this. Rember 2.70 and 2.76 are the ones compatible with Studio. However you can use any of the above. (I use 2.79 for everything but assigning the cut numbers), then just open the file with the older versions to import to Studio. 2.80 which is a big improvement for Blender is still in Beta testing, you can get it to mesh and do most of the stuff, but then you won't be able to open the .blend directly with older versions. You can still "append" your mesh with File/Append, search your blend file, then go to "Objects" and select your mesh.
