OK So I'm trying to mod a MMD model into the sims and I can't get the Uv mapping to work. So have no clue how to fix the textures. This is my very first mod so if anyone had any tips and advice please point me in the right direction. I would be so grateful. If I should be working with a different piece of clothing please let me know!(right now it's on earrings) They are rabbit ears. Thank you! I really really don't know what I'm doing. But I think I know my question. What item works best for UV mapping rabbit ears? This is what it's doing so far:

When I load it onto a hat. I get this. Is there a way to fix this? or do I need to use a different clothing item. Sorry I'm clueless.. and cant seem to find the right tutorials.

Hi, when you talk about Uv mapping what do you mean exactly? Uv_0 or UV_1? You probably could get away without making a UV_1 for this kind of item. As for the UV map that you do for texturing, you need to unwrap the ears in Blender and move the uv to the correct place for the category you choose. For example to the hat section of the map. Templates are HERE. The unwrapping can be done by marking seams, you can look a tutorial on how to do it in blender in youtube or other blender source. As for the mesh chopping the simhair mesh, that's because it's configured to work as a hat. To fix it, read THIS response. It's the same process.

oh! Thank you so much! I was at a loss for what to do and got so confused lol. This should help! Oh and for the uv mapping part. It just wasnt showing up as a separate item. I'll mess around with it a bit more. But for some reason it only shows 3 parts for the ears and it only colors those 3 parts when I add the template.
