I'm honestly new to meshing/mod making in the Sims 4, BUT I have done it for the other sim games before. I've been trying to make my bandanna for the Sims 4. I already made it for the Sims 1, Sims 2, and Sims 3, but now I'm trying to get it in the Sims 4 also. here's what it looks like: I already made the mesh file (it's an obj). I basically cloned a bandanna/hat from the sims 4 in sims 4 studio and i loaded up the blender file, then I imported the obj 3d file for my bandanna but im not sure what to do from here now. I couldn't find a proper tutorial that covered this specifically. Does anyone know what I should do next with this? should i have made it an accessory instead? Please help ♥

I would make sure you keep it as a hat as that means it will be usable with all the hairs in the game. If you make it an accessory then there will be lots of clipping. Make sure that you position your bandana rim at the same height and tilt as the EA one you cloned as a base to make sure the hair cuts line up correctly.

hey, thanks for the guide, but i still have questions though. i see that that tutorial was for replacing the mesh, and that you have to "append" to import the mesh in, but what file does the original mesh have to be in? I have it as an OBJ. and when i tried importing it, it wasn't listed in the folder.

If you open your bandanna OBJ mesh in blender you should then just be able to Save As and choose .blend to get a version you can Append. If you do that then you shouldn't have any issues following the tutorial linked. Going by the screenshot you shared in your original post though, it looks as though you already have your mesh and the EA original open in the same file.

you "append" other blend files into your blend. you use "import" for obj files.

Hey Guys! ♥ Just an update. Thanks for the help ♥ I still haven't compeleted it yet, and there's still stuff i need to figure out But i did find this tutorial: I'll have to look through it some more but i figured out quite a bit. I honestly wish there was a way to do this in milkshape because im not too familiar with blender, BUT I did learn how to merge the meshes by selecting them then clicking "join" or ctrl+j right now im just having a lot of trouble with the UV mapping and moving them to the right place. But I'm going to try it again tomorrow. it's just something i have to work with. If I have any questions i'll ask them here, But if you guys have any more helpful hints or tutorials that you think might help me, Please post them here ♥
