I did transfer weights. I must have messed up somewhere else. I did get some errors in Blender at some point. I think I'll start over again with something simpler than glasses.

I didn't see your lastest post with the links, sorry But now I've tried this tutorial, but as I'm not doing earrings, it seems to me that I shouldn't do the steps from number 7-31 (The very last), when I'm not doing earrings, but hair... So I have 3 question! Questions: My question number 1) if I follow this tutorial what do I do after step 6??? What I have been doing so far, was to follow this tutorial video from Youtube, you probably know it already Video tutorial in 3 parts: 1) 2) 3) It's a good tutorial, but as it is not focused on Sims 4 hair meshes, he does not: 1) Talk about importing a "Female Hair Mesh Model" from the "Sims 4 Studio" - which for me shouldn't be a problem anymore, since I believe I have learned that part now.. I "think.." My question number 2) 2) But more important, he does not talk about - and which is MY problem, how I, after I have made my hair mesh in Blender, CORRECTLY save my finished hair mesh in Blender, so it can be opened up in the "Sims 4 Studio" later. My question/s number 3) - I believe it is something about the LOD's, the texture and perhaps the GEOM's that I'm not getting or just doing wrong? And perhaps also the steps 5 and 6 in this tutorial, the "Rig", and the "eyes"-thing.. But then again the steps 5 & 6, is about making earrings/accessory's and not hair meshes - so maybe it's not important after all? My Question number 4) 3) And the final thing he dosen't mention is, when the finished hair mesh, is in the "Sims 4 Studio", how do you handle the file correctly, so it can be saved correctly as a package file, and put into the game and played without any errors.. I hope you will answer, and if so could you answer the questions in points, like I wrote 1, 2, 3 - because that would make it easier to understand for me And thanks for your help so far, it is appreciated

googlesuck, if you do the steps of this tutorial I think it will rapidly become clear to you that there is a fundamental difference between what you end up with from this tutorial and what you end up with by following the tutorial you've linked above. And getting that understanding is precisely why beginner tutorials are written...so that beginners can get a grasp of what they're doing. Please give the tutorial a try...it will give you the information about the LOD's, the texture, and the Geometry resources that you're asking for. At the end you will have a mesh that you can put in the game that your Sim can use. The tutorial you've linked above will result in a particle construct that you can render in Blender for the purposes of taking screenshots and things of that sort not something you can use for Sims 4.

Okay I just need to know, after I have done your tutorial, and I want to go on to make my own hair mesh, where do I find a tutorial for that - because I would still need a hair tutorial, right?

I used this one to learn: It is a series of videos that go over how to create a hair mesh from start to finish. Be aware that you will have to modify the technique somewhat because you won't be able to start off with a scalp mesh in the same way discussed here. Also, it will result in a very high poly hair so you will have to adapt your method to create hair that is suitably low poly for Sims 4. That said, I used this series of videos to learn how to make a hair and I created a hair based on this tutorial that I was able to put in the game. I made that hair for the Sims 4 demo before the main game came out and I also put it into Sims 4. I have made no others hairs since. The process is too lengthy and tedious for me to find very enjoyable. To the best of my knowledge no one has made a Sims 4 specific hair tutorial. You will need to learn the basics of how to put a CAS mesh into the game, read up on Sims 4 specific issues pertaining to hair (please see the tutorial I linked for you before), and then practice making a hair mesh. Most Blender tutorials on the topic that I've seen assume that you will not need to map the hair and Sims 4 does require mapping so you will need to do other tutorials to learn good mapping practices. Your first mesh tries are very likely to be too high poly for the game but, if you stick with it, you can learn to create simpler meshes that will work for Sims 4. It will take time and patience and there is no one here who can hold your hand through this process. It isn't easy and the people who work with hair are generally to caught up making their own hair to teach anyone else by writing a tutorial or answering beginner questions in creator help forums.

Okay thanks, I have made some earings now - they are horrible But I went throught your toturial as you said. It was as you said an okay lerning process, where I made 2 "greater" mistakes, which probably caused the end result to become so terrible.. But my mistakes, was at: 1) Part II "Marking the Seams that will Allow the Mesh to be Unwrapped" - Steps 18-21 - For some reason I couldn't select the right corners.. 2) Part III "Unwrpping the Mesh & Mapping" - Step 11 - I couldn't select the boxes inside the ring And therefore my final result at step 16 (still in part III) was terrible, I didn't get the same boxes as you did, it was a mess of small edges, deformed boxes, and a couple of big rings - which didn't have all their verticies - a total mess.. But I went through the rest and I'll try to go from one of my savings I made, and try again. __________________________________________________________________________________________________________ But about the hair again, your Blenderella tutorial, I have 3 questions: 1) When you made your only hair, where did you get the model, like the one we see in the tutorial. Is it just a random photo of they internet, or? Because I assume you didn't use a model from the Sims 4 Studio - like you did in you earing tutorial? 2) And where ever you got your model from, how did you import it into Blender? 3) And in Blender, what steps did you make to save it and begin with it in Blender?

When I made that hair I used the Sims 4 model as my guide and I got it into Blender by cloning an EA hair and exporting the LOD to Blender. I used the scalp of that hair as my base to begin from. This is one approach someone new to making Sims 4 hair could try. Before doing so I highly recommend familiarizing yourself with Blender by choosing something easier to start and then building up as your Blender skills increase.

This tutorial shows how to make a peace earring and that does not look like a peace earring. My suggestion is following the tutorial as written first before trying to make some other project.

It's fine like this. Small differences in how a mesh is created will cause Blender to make differences in the map but, from looking at your picture above, the differences are of no consequence.

Hello, I appreciate this tutorial and I can't wait to finish ^^ But maybe I have a problem with the Sims 4 Studio program settings.. Sorry for my English, hope you can understand! I'm at the 4st step,trying to export mesh when...this: 1.Blender was installed after Sims4Studio. 2. So I've uninstalled and re-installed Sims4Studio, but problem persists. I notice that one folder called "Blender" is into the Sims4Studio (Joy) folder. 3. Hope you can tell me some about this..! I think I made enough (?). Still waiting, thank you
