I'm not sure what causes those freezes either, as I usually take out my CC before I go in to test something. What I do know that works for me is to open the Task Manager ... almost as soon as that comes up, and gives you the option to end TS4 the game will unfreeze on it's own.

Just because your CC isn't listed on the broken file section of that post doesn't mean that it can't be an issue. Does it do this without any CC installed at all?

It may help to post it. I unfortunately can't read them well, but if you post it someone else might be able to help better than I can.
Most of the time you have to use the 50 50 method until you narrow down to the offending cc. I'd check scripts first though as it's usually one script conflicting with another. Things that change the ui in some way and the one that adds more columns are my usual suspects.
