Hi all. I am quite a newbie when coming to creating recolours and stuff - only managing to do clothes and posters. Have managed to do glitter lipstick this morning but when trying to work out hair, I feel like im trying to accomplish brain surgery. I export it from Sims Studio and open it up in paint.net, thats fine, adding colour is fine also . When I import it back to sims studio though, it goes completely different. Is there a certain area on the image in paint.net thats the parting. Hope I have made sense and any help is truly appreciated.

Hello good to work with other programs that are not photoshop for my taste are a little more complicated (but they master that you do not mind!) I have installed all those programs haha your images look as if the hair roots have been lost --I always keep it as .dds --- if you are still starting it is recommended that you first add brightness or color using the custom color bar tool from paint.net whenever you do recolors try to respect the roots of the hair because when they are lost it remains strange and sometimes ugly to make recolors of certain parts as in photoshop you can use the selection tools(as in paint.net) example: and save to:.ddsas selection tools:but it can be better or worse everything is trial and error
in the case of giving a lot of colors mmm you see it? trial and error and always respect the hair roots or it will be unreal
(error xD)My advice is that memorizes or how I write down that part of the hair is each one because that varies since there is a lot of hair with different parts and different mechanisms but if you have not understood I have the hope that someone else will answer you
