So, I followed along on the instructional video to make a painting ... lovely Australian fella...spoke very fast .. but I created the mod and copied it over to my mod's folder and it wasn't there when I opened the game.
Don't know what I did wrong.
Are there written instructions anywhere?
Please and thanks.
MOD EDIT: improved title description.

Did you make it as a recolor or a standalone object? I would also suggest changing the title to something more specific, so you can attract people that have knowledge around the subject.

Gonna need some more details. Is this just a retexture/recolour of an existing painting? And could you share the .package you made so we can check it out for any problems Thanks. * edit * didn't see your post simsi, sorry :p

Sorry guys...I should have given more info.
I did it as a stand alone object.
I didn't really do any recolour, but wanted to replace the image in the picture frame with a picture I downloaded from the internet. I'm trying to make Irish focused art for a Sim's challenge.
And how do i share the .package? I will happily do so!
Do I have to upload the image to my imgur account first?

Images linked from imgur will work nicely and to share your package you will need to upload it to a file sharing website first and then link to it here. And just for clarity, replacing the image in a picture frame is also considered a recolour since you are altering the texture.

Thank you...I figured out how to get it into the game but I didn't want it to be cc...I want to create nocc art like others do with images from Google. So far, I'm not finding the information and nobody wants to share it with me.

What do you mean by "nocc art"? Anything that is created outside of the official Sims team is considered custom content by the game.

I think OP refers to paintings that sims make.
You can make a CC poster of a random image you find on google and then have your sim paint from reference the cc poster you made using the easel. They'll make a copy of the image on a canvas. Then take out the cc and the painting the sim made will still be in the game and you'll be able to upload it to the gallery, etc.

Thanks for sharing.
