Just leaving this beginners tutorial of python since there are some people who are more a video person. 
It's especially great if you're comfortable with Javascript:
For the people who want to give scripting a chance but never did any coding before, I think it's good to say, knowing the basics of at least of a coding language (which in this case can be Python) is the best way to start before going off yourself and copy paste thing EA wrote in the hope that will work... been there done that :P The best thing is to read and actually understand what's being typed to truly get the most out of this
