Hi all. I am a complete newbie to 3D modelling, so I'll probably ask a lot of stupid questions. Please bear with me I downloaded a 3D model of May/ Haruka from Pokemon ORAS here. The .dae file already comes with its own UV mapping and textures, as can be seen below: Unfortunately, Sims 4 Studio seems to require I create ONE flat image to be used as a texture, which is a problem, because the pre made textures are made up of 8 .png files. Of course, importing the 3D mesh onto S4S as is results in... well, this: (I know the model still has a lot of issues, but one thing at a time, okay?) Now, the obvious solution would be to mash the eight images together as one and redo the UV mapping, but that doesn't seem to work in Blender (not to mention that'd be a pain in the butt). So my question is - is there a way for Blender to somehow extract the UV mapping and texture data and output it into an image file ready for S4S? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks! The .blend file shown in the above screenshots can be downloaded here. Also, some other quick questions: how do I get Blender to display meshes with their textures as seen in the first screenshot? I can only manage it if I open a S4S-made .blend file and importing the downloaded .dae file. If I open a blank .blend file, I can't seem to get the textures to show up, even if I switch to Texture View. Also, I'm PRETTY SURE there's a way to view the textured mesh in 3D view without the annoying orange highlight obscuring the mesh, but deselecting the mesh also makes the UV mapping vanish as well. ......yep, I'm not too ashamed to admit I'm pulling my hair out and bashing my head against the wall.

Hi! The file you uploaded is on private (I can only request access on it), so I can't take a look. However, I can tell you that you will need to mash together the UVs to fit them onto the sims 4 UV space, and then move the textures to where you moved the UVs. Not sure what you mean about the texture in blender, are you trying to view textures of meshes you've exported from s4s or the textures for your own mesh? Also try going into texture view - however if the materials of the mesh haven't been set up the texture won't show.

Whoops. That was a good start. Eheh. I've made the file public now! What I mean by not being able to see the texture is, if I opened up the startup file of Blender, deleted the cube, and imported the .dae file, this is what I get. Notice how, even though the .dae model has its own textures, they don't show up even in Texture viewport: Again, it feels like I'm missing something completely simple and obvious, but I can't for the life of me figure out what that is. Also, I've tried to remap the UV of the model. For some reason, even when I swap the image out for a yellow square, the mesh still shows her old texture being manipulated, even if I dragged it out of the frame: Thanks for the quick reply!
