Hello again! I tried creating a conference table from which I have deleted more and more rig slots because every time I place it in my game, it disappears. I tried to follow the instructions here, but then my game just hangs, so I'm sure I did something wrong. All I really need on the table is chair slots, and deco slots if possible, so, would it be easier to clone let's say a coffee table, then move the deco slots up and to add chair slots? If so, is there a tutorial I can be pointed to in order to learn to add chair slots? Thanks in advance for any help. .package*It is a round table, larger than the big round game tables. I will try to make it again, this time leaving most of the eating interaction slots intact, and just moving the chair and deco slots and will post if that works. If anyone has any other ideas, kindly let me know please.

If your table is disappearing then you have more than likely deleted a slot or bone that the game needs for the object. Are you getting any Last Exception files generated when you try to place the table in game?

menaceman44 Hi Menaceman, Thank you for responding. Nope; no exception errors or error messages at all. It just kept disappearing. And yes, I did delete several slots. I tried copying the following in warehouse, according to directions here, but I'm sure I did something wrong because I couldn't start my game after that. It would just hang on the loading screen, appearing to work, but never quite opening. <U> <T n="part_definition">14803<!--part_Surface_Seat--></T> <V n="subroot_index" t="enabled"> <T n="enabled">2</T> </V> </U> I any case, I recreated it and didn't delete anything. I moved the chair slots to accommodate the bigger size, but technically, it is still a dining room table. I intend on moving the deco slots next, and hope I don't mess anything up on it, and if there is an easy way to add more chair slots to it, I'd love to do that, but since I am using it for a public venue and don't intend on having food there (at least until I build the employee cafeteria ), I can live with it.

As I explained in the thread you linked to (yes, that was me there) your table has to have the same number of slots that the object tuning is expecting. If you want to change the number of seating slots then you will also need to alter the tuning.
If all you did was copy and paste that exact section of coding into a custom tuning then that would be telling the game your object has two different slots both with number 2 which would probably confuse the game. I wouldn't expect it to cause a loading hang though unless you edited the original tuning file and didn't make your own custom one.
You should be able to add more chair slots. Again, this would require you to make your own tuning file as well.
If you want to try deleting any of the eating and drinking slots then make sure that they are all you delete and you do NOT delete anything with b_subroot as part of its name.

menaceman44 I don't think I edited the original tuning file, as I tried to follow the directions precisely. It did hang though. Despite the amount of cc I run my game with, it loads surprisingly quickly, and with the table (unless having deleted a number of things intermittently broke something too), it just kept going through the loading sequences, never fully opening. Once I removed the table from Mods, it opened up normally. Thank you again for the response though, because it lets me know I can safely delete the eating and drinking slots (and I assume move the deco slots), which is fantastic. I won't touch the subroots this time. -------------------- Edit: Oooops. Actually, let me understand correctly, and sorry if this is a redundant question, but when you say: "your table has to have the same number of slots that the object tuning is expecting", I CAN or CANNOT delete drinking and eating slots without changing the tuning?

I believe you should be able to remove eating and drinking slots without needing to change the tuning. The tuning looks for the b_subroot entries so if you leave those intact I think you should be okay.

Worked like a charm. Thanks, menaceman44. To recap, in case it helps anyone else, you can delete the 'eat', 'drink' and 'placemat' slots, and also move around the remaining slots, but do not touch the subroots. Just in case, note that I did not leave any subroot empty, either, and I left all seating (individual, shared ...), intact.
