Hi! I have created a shoe mesh that has the shoes, feet, toes, and toenails. I am wanting to make an accessory (like a sock) package that changes only the Toenail Polish color. How do I do this? I don't know if I delete everything from the mesh but only the toenails and then create a clone of socks and import my toenail mesh? Sorry if this is a stupid question. I'm relatively new to meshing. Thank you for you help!

If all you want to be able to do is change the colour of the toenails then you shouldn't need a new mesh just for that. You would just need to create new textures that fit this mesh and then apply them to a sock recolour package.

Thanks for responding!
Ok, so I 'Create CAS Standalone' in S4Studio of a sock (or whatever accessory)? NOT the 'Create 3D Mesh' clone of a sock?
Thanks again!

Thanks for responding! Ok, so I 'Create CAS Standalone' in S4Studio of a sock (or whatever accessory)? NOT the 'Create 3D Mesh' clone of a sock? Thanks again! Socks don't have a mesh so they don't show up if you choose 'Create 3D mesh'. You can only clone them as recolors. Same for tight gloves.

Thanks for that but it didn't work - well it did but it didn't. I tried probably 10 different .package configurations to get this to work. I know it was something very simple I was missing but for the damn life of me, I couldn't figure it out. After a week of this experimental poo, I've figured it out! In a nutshell: This didn't work without editing the file because the the CAS Sort Layer. The shoes (and therefore the toenails) have a CAS Sort Layer number of 10700 and the tights have a CAS Sort Layer number of 10600. This means that it was applying the recolor but UNDER the shoe layer (can't see it). I had to go into S4Studio and edit the CAS Sort Layer number for the tights to be higher (the layer ABOVE the shoes layer). I hope I'm making some sense. Here's what I did in case anyone else wants to know. What Mathcope said to do first... - In Sims 4 Studio, create a clone of a sock or tights (I used tights) - Import ONE of your textures that match your mesh (in this case, I used my shoe texture that has toenails - edited to include only the toenail colors on the texture file) - Warehouse Tab --> click on the CAS Part (the one swatch you created) then on the right where it says SEARCH, type in SORT. It will display the sort layer number. I changed this number from 10600 to 10900 (higher than the shoes). - Import the REST of your textures that match your mesh (If you import them all first before editing the sortLayer, you have to edit each individually. This way, create one and the rest will match) - Save and test! Good Luck
