Hi everyone. I'm hoping someone can help me troubleshoot about some base game shoe recolors I made. I've only had one user report this so far, but they say that when they try to use my shoes in their game, their sims' feet disappear at the ankles. I don't know why this might be happening, as they're only EA mesh recolors. I haven't seen something similar happen in my game with them, so I'm wondering if anyone could point me in the direction as to why this may happen and how to fix it? If my cc is broken I'd like to get it fixed for everyone. You can download the packages here link (they didn't specify which shoe is the problem, but I assume it's the adult ones.) Thanks so much!

Perhaps it is someone else's CC that is causing the issue. Have they tried using the shoes with EA only clothing & accessories (no CC beyond your recolored shoes) on the sim in question?

They got back to me and said it might be a conflict with one of their default replacements. I hope trying to figure that out works out for them, but I'm not sure why a default replacement would interact with a recolor that didn't change the mesh! I'm not very good at figuring this out Thank you for the suggestion, I'll have them try and rule out a mod conflict.

Your .package for adult sneakers doesn't have any lower lods. The whole file looks unusual. It is shown that there is some geometry in lower lods (judging by polycount on Studio tab), but when you export LOD1 there is nothing in Blender. Also, when I import higher lod in lod1 Studio gives an error. I would suggest cloning new file, and importing every LOD. User who reported that shoes disappear at ankles probably has lower graphic settings in the game, that's why game renders LOD1 in the first place. Usually game renders LOD1 when you zoom out enough, but on lower settings game renders lower resolution lod sooner. It doesn't mean that it is a problem on another user's end, it means that this file was not made properly. Re-cloning new file and importing correct lods will fix this issue.

I have no idea how this happened. Can I walk you through what I did in Sims4Studio to create these shoes? Because I did these recolors the same way I do any EA clothing recolor. 1. Open Sims 4 Studio 2. 'Create CAS Standalone' 3. Picked the 'YMshoes_Sneakerslowtop_White' shoes. These are apparently Male shoes but they show up in female CAS for me by default in my game. 4. Saved the package. 5. Imported new Diffuse texture. 6. Edited the color flags and disabled the 'allow for random' flag. 7. Saved it. I didn't change the mesh in any way. The shoes (not mine, the EA ones) show up for Female adults in CAS by default and when you choose these ones in Sims4Studio both 'restrict opposite gender' and 'restrict opposite frame' are unchecked by default. I didn't do literally anything to those flags. So why are the LODs apparently messed up? This is really confusing for me so I'm just hoping to figure out how to not have this happen in the future.

This is odd. Looks like Studio glitched at my side. Now it shows a perfectly normal mesh except for the gaps on the ankles that appear due to the difference between female ankles and male ankles meshes. But other than that I don't see anything that could cause the glitch mentioned by you above. IF anything disappears on sim it is not an issue with your file, it's another CC. There is nothing you can do about it, and it should be a problem of another CC maker to fix their item.

Hopefully no one else will run into an issue with these shoes. I was really doubting myself for a second thinking where did I go wrong? Haha. Thanks again.
