Hi everyone, i'm trying to make my fridge's screen a functional LIN-Z speaker. I made all the necessary steps to add a slot following this tutorial. The slot works, as you can see. But it doesn't animate with the door even if i parented it to the correct _bind_door bone. Anything i can do to solve this? Or decor slots are not animation compatible?

I could be wrong but you could look for vertex and weight paint from the screen. It should be the same color as the fridge door. That would be my first thought for your problem.

You didn't understand the problem. My fridge is already posted and works perfectly fine. This is a version in which the screen was separated from the fridge mesh. The screen was made a LIN-Z smart speaker and i'm trying to slot it on the fridge. THe slot works but it doesn't animate.

Try taking a look at how the deco slots for the washing machine and dryers are set up from Laundry Day. I remember Graham talking a bit about how objects placed on them will wobble with the machines.

Hi littledica99! Your entire H&B set is so very gorgeous! That said, I want to add my unrequested two cents into the conversation... I think that you may be approaching this in the wrong fashion for what you wish to accomplish. Myself, I only ever tried importing one stovetop range into the game, and was quite surprised (shocked?) when the whole appliance tilted forward with the oven door opening. I had so much to learn back then... o_0 You may want to leave everything as-was, and re-focus on trying to combine the tunings for the fridge with those for the Lin-Z speaker. IDK if there is a hash part specified in the tuning for the fridge door (I am assuming that there is, but ?) and you could then specify that that is the 'active' part to click for utilizing the speaker. My train of thought is mostly combining the affordances into one tuning, which *should* give the ability and functionality to use both fridge & speaker. While I have not looked at the speaker's tuning yet myself, I am assuming that there is a named FX that the speaker uses to indicate that it is 'active', other than the FX of the top turning color, which you would not want showing up on a strange place on the door either. You can specify and place a custom _FX_ bone for the 'music notes' etc. in your mesh. Just an idea, and Thank You for the Amazing appliances!

I have no idea how to combine tunings though... my experience with tunings go as far as putting the upgrades on objects when bought.
