As a background - we all know objects may look very different after changing its texture clean vs dirty, unbroken vs broken, hot vs frozen, etc etc ... What I was wondering - what are the alternatives (if any?) to change the swatch of an object from 'swatch one to swatch two'. In other words - A Sim uses/interacts with an objects causing the object look different. Any ideas?

I think we're going to need a more specific application before anyone will be able to make suggestions. Do you have something specific in mind that you are wanting to achieve?
Geostates are also a way of altering how an object looks through in-game interactions. These also include a mesh change.

First : Thank You menaceman44 for answering and mentioning about Geostates , which I didn't know anything about this far. So, I'm gonna first learn all about that feature and already found out there are tutorials and discussion about the topic on S4S forums so no problem (yet) with that option. The specifics I was thinking about: (cc) chalkboard with my cc writing interaction -> new text (figure) appears on the chalkboard and depending on what text or figure is being written affects for instance the EnvironmentScores / EnvironmentScoreEmotionTags of the object chalkboard. Another version might be a cc deco TV-set (deco computer screen) to interact with ... TIA for further discussion ...
