Hi there!
Where can I find the original textures from EA meshes? I want to do some recolors for furniture with the original wood textures from EA, but when I create a .package file for the recolor I only see the first texture. Is there a way to see all of the original swatches from the object?

I'm going off of memory here so bear with me. In the Sims 3 and the Sims Medieval, in order to get the game's resources, you have to go into the root folder (in Programs Files (x86)) and use S3PE to extract them. The file name is either FullBuild0 or DeltaBuild0, if I remember correctly. Again, this is going off of memory and I can't remember what the exact file path is. So, for the Sims 4 you'll need S4PE. Just take the file (the FullBuild0 or DeltaBuild0, or whatever it's called) and drag and drop the file into the software and choose no if it asks you to autosave after each import. The file size will be large so it'll take a while to load. Once it loads, you can search for the file you need. It'll be an adventure because the FullBuild or DeltaBuild file will contain loads of stuff. I'll see if I can find more definite information for you. Edit: The third post in this thread describes how to find the Sims Medieval skin. It's for a different game, and it's discussing a different game resource (skin, instead of a wood texture like you're looking for) but the process is the same; you're just looking in the Sims 4 root folder for the package file and not the Sims Medieval. Also, using S4PE is exactly like using S3PE, they're just for different games, of course. modthesims.info/showthread.php?t=437930&highlight=fullbuildGood luck and happy hunting through the kajillion game files to find what you're looking for! :D :D :D

If all you want to do is recolour a TS4 object and bring all of the colour swatch options into the package, all you have to do is hold the shift key when you click on the object and this will select all of the swatches instead of just one.
