Also when I download from the index it immediately canceled the download. I can only download the latest version from the DMG and the zips from the index can't download correctly

eee I had this problem too, so I downloaded blender 2.7 (which is the version you need) but it still isn't working for me- keeps trying to get me to download blender again.. Think I need to configure the path, so it know to use version 2.7 (had to configure for the game when I first got s4s because I have a Mac) but have no idea how to get the configure-ing menu up again ^^" (Sorry this isn't very helpful, hopefully someone else can help both of us O_o (rofl) )

thx for the reply just noticed :D. but also, to download 2.7 you need the index and it immediately canceled the download;-|. I tried a ton of times to download it, but the same issue occurred each time. Thx for the advice but it, unfortunately, didn't work

Hi, guys. The Sims 4 Studio does not support 2.79 version of Blender. It is more reasonable for developers to focus on adding new features than on adapting the program to every new version of Blender. On the download page it says that The Sims 4 Studio supports only Blender 2.70 and 2.76. However, I use 2.78 and it works fine. In tutorials you may have seen people switch between 2.70 and 2.78, but it is not needed. Everything can be done in 2.78 so long you know how. How to transfer weights in Blender 2.78; Also make sure to set up the right pass for Blender You have to uninstall your other versions.

Thank you for the help- I found another post on here (s4s can't find blender by ohbats) and on that thread it said to move blender into applications. I did that (after moving/ copying the lastest version of blender to the desktop, because it asked me of I wanted to replace it with the other one) and I can now export to blender! And keep both 2.79 and 2.7 Sorry if this is more confusing- and if your computer won't let you download blender there might be another issue :s Goodluck!

Ah, you mean the path configuring settings in Sims 4 studio? Because it pops up when you first download S4s, and then you need to tell it where the Sims 4 game is on your Mac (there's a great video on youtube if you search- if you need help with that) I was trying for ages to get that menu back up to configure blender's path and found it- once you have the Sims4 studio up, go to the sims 4 studio tab in the top left (next to the Apple logo) and go down to preferences and you'll have it! Hope this helped, glad you got blender to download!!

Hmm, do you have more than one version of blender? It could be configured to the wrong one (like if you have version 2.79) if it's the right one, maybe check blender is in the applications folder? (that was my issue- blender 2.79 was in applications but 2.7 wasn't and then it worked once I moved it there) and that's the path is correct... Other than that I'm not sure- unless you try getting blender 2.7 instead of 2.78 (I have 2.79, and 2.7 which works once you do the configurey stuff!) If not maybe just get rid of blender completely then just get 2.7 and make sure it works with S4s, then get the later version if you need/ want to use blender for other things Don't give up! It took me like a week of trying and finding new issues xP

One thing to note, I love blender 2.9 - the new principled shader is everything! What you can do is make your mesh, UV maps, and do all the baking in 2.9 and then import just your mesh and uv map into blender 2.7 to import into sims 4 studio. That is what I typically do.
