Good morning:
I am looking for new things to learn and one of the things I want to do is to change textures on wood objects. Have a feeling this has to do with Blender which terrifies me but was wondering if there is a tutorial for this. I'm struggling with blender but did learn how to resize an object and would like to learn how to use it for textures. If there is a tutorial someone can guide me to or if some one has the time and patience to help me out, it would be appreciated. I've searched youtube and Googled and everything deals with clothes- which I finally figured out.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Assuming you're trying to recolor something, I actually find the easiest way is usually to export a "painted" swatch. That makes it easier to erase any dumb little details like stencils, and then you can use flood fill and blend modes to cover the whole thing with a wood grain of your choice.

thank you! will try- someone tried to teach me UV Map/Mesh stuff for that and it was a disaster so this sounds easier.
Appreciate it.
