First off, I'd like to admit that I am not much of a modder. I can recolour and replace meshes for default overrides (for personal use), but as for making new or editing existing meshes, I'm hopeless. So this is where the request comes in... I was searching through the base game clothing items in CAS while creating a sim, and came across this little number: yfBody_EF14DressLayered Now, while I love this dress, I would love it even more if it was a full length dress rather than a short one. So if someone is interested and willing, would they be able to make this dress longer? I would be very grateful if someone could do this. Standalone or override, original colours or recolour - all of this I'm leaving to dealers choice, all I'm asking for is a long version; the rest of it is up to whomever takes the challenge. For now I will just say please and thankyou in advance, and keep my fingers crossed.

I came across this dress this morning, which looks similar, but with shorter sleeves. If it's not what you were looking for, let me know, and I'll see if I can whip up a decent-looking frankenmesh when I have a minute.

Hi Kel-Birdy2809. I had no idea that dress even existed in-game, Thanks for the pointer! That said, it is one of the weirdest qipao that I have ever seen, with the 'silly' under-skirt flaring out like that. The textures are very lovely, tho... While I do not tend to recommend much of anything @ TSR, I came across two different qipao there, one short one long, as you were thinking of. The long one has lovely textures as well, and should blend right into the game. LongShortCheers!

minimonster - Thankyou for the suggestions, but they are not what I'm after. I am after a long dress, so the short one is out for consideration on that fact, and while the textures on the long one are very nice from what I can see, it's still not what I'm after. Mostly due to the short sleeves. Still, I appreciate the effort for looking though. And you're welcome for pointing it out. Lol! Sifix - I saw that one just the other day and downloaded it as an 'alternative', but it's still not quite what I'm after. I do like the lack of "underskirt" Joliebean's version has (they did a great job), but I would like a version with the original sleeves intact. If you wouldn't mind frankenmeshing something together, I'd greatly appreciate it! <3 (I'm kinda fan-girling over here right now. I have quite a few pieces of your cc in my game already. I LOVE your work.)

Kel-Birdy2809 I made an attempt at making just a longer version with the underskirt intact. It's not perfect and I want to tweak some things, but I don't have a ton of free time in the next few days, so I figured I'd give you a progress report. Download link here if you want to check it out in-game. It's totally a WIP, so any feedback is welcome. I mostly just based it on the original EA swatches and added a different pattern, but if there are any colors you want, just let me know. I also checked Joliebean's TOU and they allow edits of their meshes, so it shouldn't be too complicated to make a version of their dress with the original sleeves. I can definitely look into doing that if you'd like, but I probably won't be able to get to it in the immediate future. (And thank you so much for the wonderful compliment, I'm so glad you like my CC! )

Sifix I may have squealed at seeing this today, it looks amazing. Granted, I've only looked at it in the picture and S4S so far, but it looks fantastic from what I can tell. The colours are gorgeous and the patterns are great. If there are any problems, I can't see them. But I'll trust your eyes if you think there are things that need tweaking. Lol. I'll definitely check it out in the game soon and provide feedback from that ASAP. And no worries about the next few days. Take your time. I'm content to use the WIP version in my game for now until the final product. As for an edit Joliebean's, I do love my options. But only if you want to. I'd definitely love a long sleeved version of it, but I don't want to be asking too much of you either. If you want to do it though, I won't refuse. Lol. In all seriousness though, I'd be content with just the dress you've been making so far. <3 (YW. :D Your medieval dresses are my absolute favorites. They're perfect for my elf sims.)

SifixUpdate: I finally managed to look at it in CAS, and yeah, I notice some issues. Which you likely already know about, being the more experienced modder here. I did notice some seams/hairline gaps in the skirt. I'm guessing this is from multiple parts in the mesh? Depending on the colour I've selected and the angle I'm looking from, how noticeable it is varies. Most probably wouldn't notice it unless you were looking for it, but yeah, it's there. And I think the borders of the overskirt (the parts hanging down at the front and back) are a little wonky towards the top. Just a touch. But that could be my eyes playing tricks on me there. Those are the only things I saw, but all in all, still looks great.

Kel-Birdy2809Hey again and thanks for the feedback! Yup, those are more or less what I noticed as well. I'm probably going to convert it to a one cut mesh to avoid the gap issues, but tbh I'm more comfortable with meshing than texturing, so it might take me a bit longer to figure out the borders properly. I haven't had much time to do much of anything yet, unfortunately - there's a lot going on IRL at the moment and I'm trying to stay on top of my usual CC schedule as well, haha. I promise I haven't forgotten about this, though, and I'll get back to it as soon as I can.

Kel-Birdy2809 I finally had some time to work on this over the weekend. Sorry for the delay! It's been a while since I did much with EA's clothing meshes, so everything ended up being harder than I thought, haha. I couldn't figure out how to fix everything so I ended up completely remaking it instead. The borders still aren't perfect, but it's less noticeable at least, I think? I'll keep working on that. Download link here. I also made an edited version of JolieBean's dress. There's some weirdness going on with the edge splitting on the inside that I haven't been able to fix yet. It's mostly noticeable on the lighter swatches, though, and I've tried all the tricks I'm aware of to fix it, so at least right now, this is the best I can do. The color matching on the sleeves may not be 100% perfect, but I don't think any of them look glaringly awful either. Full credit to JolieBean for both the mesh and the beautiful textures, of course. Download link here. I'll keep trying to fix the issues these have, but I've got a very busy time ahead of me, so I'm not sure when I'll have time. If you find any other issues than the ones I mentioned, please let me know and I'll see what I can do when I have time. Hopefully these will work for now!

Sifix OMG! These look awesome!! I couldn't download them fast enough to open them in S4S and look at everything. I gotta say, great work! I love that you included all possible versions of the original textures on the first version. Even if the borders are a little wonky still, that would be something I'm willing to tolerate as it looks amazing as is. It looks fantastic. I am so happy with this. Yeah, the sleeves on the JolieBean edit are a little 'wonky' texture wise, as the patterns don't line up on the shoulders, but that's just a personal taste thing on my part. I can always fiddle with that on my own if it ends up bothering me too much. Likely I'll end up doing recolours of both versions. lol Thankyou so much for all your hard work, even with all your other projects going on (That 'Margaery Dress II', -chef kiss- ). I've been chasing this dress since July last year, and finally I have it. Thankyou so so much for fulfilling this wish. And I totally understand about any delay for future updates. No rush.
