I have managed to make a couple of mesh items to use for a creature in my game. I have made a skin, a tail (accessory) and his hair/mane (though the shoulders and chest are not rigged right), plus a working pair of semi digitigrade feet as shoes. However, when the Sim showers/bathes these feet obviously come off and I don't want that to happen. The feet right now work for all other outfits, and even when I use a cheat to assign the feet to the "bathing/nude" outfit they just keep removing the shoes, but his tail always remains on so I don't think it's the cheat/mod that is misbehaving here. I think it's my shoes. Obviously I would rather have these feet be applied as a body type/shape with proper leg deformation, but I don't know how to assign these feet to anything but the shoes/socks slot.
Remember, the meshes are all done already. They appear in game. So I have 3 questions, I just need some advice or a link to anything vaguely similar to what I am doing, so I can dissect it and see how it was made.
1. How do you rig hair that covers the shoulders and most of the chest? The back is rigged fine since I used the longest hair from the basegame I could find, but none cover the shoulders or chest on the level my hair/mane does. I even assigned the shoulder/chest vertex groups to the mesh and it had no effect.
2. Is it possible to merge new feet/hand/tail meshes into one and have it so that it will always be worn even when bathing? (Like a skin/tattoo, rather than clothing.)
3. If question 2 is possible, how would this be done?
I tried attaching an image for reference but I don't think it worked.
I haven't made detailed textures outside the body skin yet either so everything is in flat colours.
