Hi. Starting your CC making journey from something complex is a very bad idea. 1). Your item is very high poly. Not only does it dramatically slow down loading process both in s4s and the game, it also makes the mesh deform in a "crumply" way. Ideally you would want to retopologize it, but changing tris to quads and raising particle distance will also help. 2). Before exporting a garment created in MD 8, make sure to change its uv layout. Use the uv islands MD offers, do not remake them by unwrapping until you get to know Blender better 3). Garments with loose sleeves or armpit areas should be exported with arms down. Explained here, turn on subtitles 4). The meshgroups in the blend you import in the package must have the same vertex groups as the corresponding meshgroups in the blend that is being replaced. When it is not the case, you might get distortions. Make sure to start your package from an item that is closest to yours in shape, as in, is of the same length in the bottom and has hood or something similar. Export the blend and use it as a reference when transferring weights 5). Dresses should be vertex painted like this Vertex paint dictates what variation(s)( skin-tight or robe-like) of deformations maps ( age, gender, body mass) the mesh will use during body customisation. Dresses and any robe-like outfit should be painted with both. Paint yours with skin-tight 00FF00 and add another color 1). Disable Limit selection to visible; 2). Holding Ctrl, lasso-select the bottom part of the mesh starting somewhere in the middle of the pelvic bone; 3). Enable sync; 4). Press B ans deselect legs; 5). Switch to Vertex paint and enable Face selection masking for painting; 6). Type in 3FFF00; 7). Paint - Set vertex colors; 8). Press A twice to deselect and select everything again, Paint - Smooth vertex colors [/quote]
