I have looked and could only find a tutorial on how to make a new bump and specular map for a wall. Was not for Sims at all. I have only ever done recolours of walls. So have no idea what I am doing. My texture is oversized in game. The width of 3 wall sections. The bump and specular do not seem to be working at all. Made bump and specular = 3 sections across. I hope this is right. Please where can I find a good tutorial that will explain with instructions how to make a bump map for a wall texture and a specular map. I can not find a tutorial which explain how to make these differently from Cas ones. I did find a tutorial here but it does not go into the details that I need for a complete novice at this.
The texure is from Sims 2 Aussie TopEnders. I have permission to convert the sites wall and floor textures and rugs. It looks so flat without at less a bump map. ( Have done some rugs already but wanted to try converting wall textures to see how they would go)
Can someone please help me. Thanks so much. Do you use the stretched sizes eg 256x768 or 256x512 for short wall bumps and specular maps. I did use a base brick package as the package. Why is the bump map transparent? What is the best setting? I used 35% Is there a different way of making a bump map for walls and floors. Follow the tried and true methrod from here for cas
