Take a look: You see what I see? A sims drives a car, on the road. Yes in The Sims 4! Too good to be true. In fact it´s not real. I just prepared the images with some simple tricks. I know several people, discussed that before. Is it doable? Yes and no for many reasons. A Sims leaves home, hops in a car and drive away. Still my dream. The Sims 4 don´t offer excellent car animations, like The Sims 2. A lot happens in Part 4, by fast travel. I see animated cars, driving down the road day and night. What if we use these cars? Manipulate the animation. My idea: A sims has to travel to a different town. Calls a car on the phone. Let it be a cab. The cab stops at the house. The sims leaves home, vanish and appears inside the car drives away. Question: Is my idea doable or not? P.s. Replacing the animated cars, with other models is not a big deal as anyone can see.

Sounds like a great idea, intriguing... I'm certainly not experienced enough to be able to help on this...
However, I'm interested in replacing current animated vehicles with CC... you say it's no big deal, how would I go about this?

Sounds like a great idea, intriguing... I'm certainly not experienced enough to be able to help on this... However, I'm interested in replacing current animated vehicles with CC... you say it's no big deal, how would I go about this? After you opened S4S, choose Objects/Override/Add a hook in Show Debug Items (up right in the menue). Write in Search: Vehicle. Then you see a collection of cars. Choose one then name your project, and now click on meshes/export mesh. Choose a name for your Blender mesh and save it. Next step you need to replace the original model, with a different car. Choose one make sure, you got a Blender file of your own car. Now open the original Blender file you created in S4S before, import your own car into the Blender file. Click on File/Import/Wavefront obj. then look out for your car obj. inside the other Blender file. You see now both cars. Click first on your car, and then the original car until they both look yellow. Choose in the Transform Menue: Join. They are both one object now. Click on Object Mode/Edit mode (down in the menue). Next to edit mode is the option: Wireframe. (You see just two arrows). Now the car is black. Click on letter C (brush). Color only the original car entirely. After it´s totaly yellow, click on your keyboard: delete. A menue pops up. Choose: Vertices and the car is gone. Only your own new car is left. Now choose in the menue (at the bottom Edit mode) a option called: weight paint. Color your car until it´s totaly red. If you won´t do it, it won´t be visible in the game. Once it´s done. Open the menue Wireframe again, and choose: Texture instead. And left to that, under edit mode choose: Objects Mode. Now click on file and save the finished car. Go back to S4S. Import the Blender file under Mesh. Do this in Lod 0 and Lod 1. Choose a different Shadow lot o and 1. Save the file, and try it in the game. Make sure the polygons are not too high. I think that should work fine. Cars sometimes crash the game. The black pickup especially. I don´t change this model. I wonder if anyone has a idea, about driveable cars hm?
