I have a few CC Accessories that recolor/adapt themselves according to what skin the sim has. Some ears and tails. How does one go about doing this? New to CC creation so I not familiar with a lot of terms. So Im not sure what tutorial I should look up cause all I get is How to make cc skins when I try google.

Hi. To do this you will need to put uvs of your accessory in the ear area using Base texture as a background reference. I doubt there is a tutorial that covers exactly how to do this since that is something most people are trying to avoid, but you can follow a regular accessory making tutorial and then go to youtube and watch an introductory tutorial for uv mapping in blender. You will need to get a good understanding of it to map your cc over a specific area in the specific way. Another and possibly better way of doing it would be to use Morph maker. You can create a preset or a slider that will change the shape of ears but without uv mapping and all of that. Morph maker (tutorial links in the description) - modthesims.info/d/613061/ts4-morphmaker-updated-to-v4-0-beta-on-7-18-2019.htmlBasic accessory making tutorial - sims4studio.com/thread/10/tutorial-using-sims-studio-accessoryAs for a tail, you will need to put its uvs somewhere close to the body's uvs but not directly on them ( unless your tail will have no other textures on it at all, then you can)

… As for a tail, you will need to put its uvs somewhere close to the body's uvs but not directly on them ( unless your tail will have no other textures on it at all, then you can) Do you happen to have a png of the uv map for a tail (like a cat or fox etc)? I want to make a tail as a skin detail rather than an accessory, but not sure where to place tails on the uv map. Could I put it in the space on the bottom right corner?
