CC with lots of added slots are causing crashing for a large number of players.
A few of us have been trying to troubleshoot this, and reducing the number of slots stops the crashing, but the number of slots required for a stable package seems to vary for everyone.
My popular OMSP red shelf was causing crashing for a huge number of players (but not everyone), including myself. I reduced the slot count to 130, which fixed the crashing for me, but it's still crashing for lots of other people. So I've reduced it further to around 80, and am waiting on testing feedback. Others went in and deleted some slots themselves, which got it working for them.
It may even be hardware related, in that some people can handle a greater number of slots than others. This makes it almost impossible to deal with, because creators will be making cc and if it doesn't crash in their game they'll assume it's good to go, but as we've seen that's not the case because it'll be crashing for others. I'm not certain at this point it's even possible to work out what the maximum number of slots that will cause no crashing with anyone at all is.
Does the S4S team have any insight into this? Has the way slots work changed with the most recent game update? If it has, might it be that updating S4S to take this into account and re-doing all our slots will fix it, no matter the amount of slots we have?
As it stands, it's a really frustrating problem because it's requiring multiple updates and tests to work out what fixes the crashing for the maximum number of players, and even then there are likely to be outliers.
