Hello! I'm currently turning the robot arm into a standalone accessory. Below are the arm with texture and the texture file
As you can see in the texture file, it's kinda choppy and all over the place. This is how EA has placed the texture since the arm is normally part of a shirt. Because i removed the shirt part i have problems with some... residue textures that are at places i don't want them to be despite correctly UV mapping the mesh. For example:
Now i want to take the PNG and move the textures around in a way where they don't interfere with anything and don't show up on the normal sims skin. If i just throw them all in a corner they show up on the other arm and everywhere. What's the smartest way to place the textures in the PNG image? I can adjust the Uv map myself Thank you

I'm going to solve my own thread here and posting the answer just in case anyone needs it in the future! Remussirion made this template that i used for the placement: i.imgur.com/Ytq6iI4.jpgThe circled area and the area between the arms gives you space for textures like this
