Hi all,
I have been following Orangemittens tutorial for creating a CAS accessory from an existing mesh.
The mesh I wished to use was the in game cherry harvestable item and I wanted to make it so the sim was holding it in their hand.
I exported the cherry mesh and in its own blender file I raised it up to handheld location and deleted its vertex group. I saved that file. Then I exported a ring accessory like Orangemittens tutorial showed and proceeded to follow that tutorial. In blender, the cherry item looks normal, like a cherry. When I import it back to blender it has a solid yellowish color with no texture. If I open it in the game like that, it takes on the sim's skintone.
I tried exporting the cherry's texture as a png and applying it to my accessory cherry. Then, in Sims4Studio, it looks normal, like a cherry, but when I open it in game it applies the sim's skintone not only to the cherry but to the entire sim and their clothes including their teeth and the whites of their eyes.
What do I have to do to make my cherry texture work for the accessory cherry?

Move your uv map in any area intended for accessories. You mapped yours over the hair area. See this thread for explanation, use this template as a reference.

Yes, you also need to change the UV map in blender

Yes, you move texture where you moved uv map. Uv map tells where texture is placed on the map.

Ok, thanks! I have got the UV map positioned correctly and the accessory has the cherry texture now. Hopefully one final question, around the leaves & stem where there's extra space that's meant to be blank it's showing up as black in game. Is it possible to fix that?
