Hey guys! I understand how to do simple recolors but when it comes to jewelry i'm a bit confused. I am trying to recolor the following crown by bats from westros for my personal game (not trying to share it). If anyone has a tutorial or knows how to recolor the silver into gold please help! Thank you.

Every object will handle things like this differently. It might be on the texture and it might be a simple one. If it is you can just download the texture, change it, and re-upload. Without being able to see the package I can't really help.

Actually just done it and it was easy. Download the diffuse texture. It has a gemstone, a diamond and some other stuff. It's the other stuff that makes the body of the crown. I exported the diffuse texture, opened it in photoshop and used the colour replace brush to dye the 'other stuff' orange. Really crude but it worked to show which bit of the texture does what.

My crassly recoloured texture. You can see the bits I dyed orange, and the diamond and the gemstone

Obviously you'd do it neatly and properly, and in gold rather than orange. You'll need to think what to do with the diamonds - do you want to tint them? They are not so obvious in the original.

What Software do you for your recolors? You can easily recolors anything with Paint.Net, GIMP or Photoshop. You can do it with a few steps and it's always neat without parts forgotten . I made a slighty less 'orangy' golden shade. Or try a different shade of gold. Perhaps these will help you:
As for the diamonds , I'd say Emerald as diamonds instead of Ruby-red when using Gold. Sapphire-blue and red fits more with Silver colors and Green(ish) and white fit more with gold .
