Hi everybody!
Sorry for posting in this section, I don't know exactly where should I post something like this if at all. Apologies if I'm mistaken.
So ever since the latest game update, Sims model in my game can become "shiny" at random, it's like they're under a specular map to give you an idea.
Through searching, I've read that a "batch fix" should fix the issue. Is it true? Should I take some preventive steps before doing it? Could the fix interfere with my mods (about 30GB or so)?
Thank you in advance for your attention.

You should post a screenshot of the problem

Yes sorry, here's the sample screenshot. I've tried changing the graphical option but to no avail, the batch fix didn't help either. I had all the mods in the mods folder when the game updated, I don't know if that could have caused some corruption of some sort.

If it's only a few CC, try to find the file and add in a blank specular, I think that's the fix? People on MCCC were discussing it yet I can't find the discussion to confirm, I just know they did something along those lines and it fixed it. Has to do with CC made before a certain point in time.

I described in my blog how to fix this issue with blank specular. In reality the best solution is to create a custom blank specular, but if you don't know how to do this my file would work too. But it might cancel specular on other custom items. I haven't posted this tutorial on the forum since I didn't know if there is batch fix coming, and whether it's batch fixable at all. MizoreYukii where did you see that discussion? Was it on discord or on some forum? Could you PM me the link, please?

Feyona I thought I saw it on MCCC/Deaderpool Discord in the Creators Boards, but I can't find the convo regardless of what I search up, so maybe I'm confusing a similar convo involving speculars with your tutorial, which I am only now remembering existed since you linked it.

Also if you use The HQ mod you should re-enable it since each game update disables it, I've had this problem before and re-enabling the HQ mod worked for me
