Thanks for the warm welcome everyone! Hit me up with your recolor requests (I'm currently doing Wall Decor and rugs and will attempt to figure out clothing)!

Hello!
I'm excited to join the Sims 4 Studio. I'm very new to this and would love some help getting started! I really want to create custom hair colors and clothes. How do I go about this or where can I find a good beginner tutorial! =]
Thanks and Happy New Year!

Hello, hello: D welcome and how good you want to start doing cc Well if you want to create recolors it's pretty simple hair recolors: alpha or maxis match? for alpha hair it is a complicated hair to make a recolor (for example with ombre or wicks) but not impossible, of course not! remember what you need: photoshop(plugin nvidia), gimp or paint, net and you have to export the texture (I recommend you start with maxis match) I have a tutorial on youtube how to do a simple recolor (but there are many similar ones on the internet, although mine is Spanish haha) there are tricks to make recolors faster Remember that there are many creators that do not allow to include the mesh so: sims4studio.com/thread/397/create-standalone-recolor-custom-contentvery "basic"(xD)clothes: sims4studio.com/thread/4324/tutorial-detailed-guide-create-clothingthe most difficult thing for me is the uv map but that depends on each person it requires practice, perseverance and if you need to ask!: sims4studio.com/board/8/creator-help

The hardest part to recoloring is being good with photo-editting software. While Photoshop is the best program to use, if you don't have that, I do a lot of my editting on a free site HERE. Monas gave you some specific tutorials, if you ever need more, you can check out the full index HERE. As Monas said, don't be afraid to ask for help if you get stuck. I hope your future projects go well!

Hi! I'm kressle. I've only been playing sims for almost a year, and I've only played Sims 4but I love cc and I always wanted to try making some. So yeah, here I am Hello and welcome! Whether you've been playing sims for 18 years or 18 minutes, you'll have a home here. One of the best ways to start making cc is to head over to our tutorials which will help you learn the ropes of s4s and other programs so that you can go on to make your own stuff. The tutorials are HERE. A lot things, like recoloring items, require photo editing programs like Photoshop. While PS is recommended, one alternative program you can use is Pixlr Editor, which you can find HERE (though, the tutorials are made for PS, so you'll have to figure out some steps on your own). If you ever get stuck on a project or need someone to point you in the right direction, you can make a post HERE and someone will eventually come to help you as soon as they can. I hope you have a wonderful start to your cc creating journey! Good luck!

so. i'm suprised mitz wasn't taken. i found this to be an even larger stash than MTS for CC & mods i enjoy. there's one creator that i'm looking for a truck-sized package of his food mods *cougH* moving away from funny-haha, i just got the sims 4 and i've already blown up my game twice with forgetting to reset the localthumbcache, and probably blew up my sister's game too. (unless mods don't affect other users playing the game without the same documents folder) my cat claimed my web-browsing chair so now i have to use the couch, and my sister is currently sim-binging after a tough day... hmm, maybe i'll attach my album of the little arse. he's a good boi either way. sorry for the off-topic. i have 300+ hours in the sims 3 and my sister and I share a copy of the sims 4, i have a few expansions but am drooling for more. you can guess which game pack i want.
and i have PDD-NOS. there's a mod that adds that to the sims 4 ;3
so yeah, nice to meet ya'll.

Hello Mitz and welcome! There are many, many creators on different sites that utilize S4S and quite a few creators that share their work on multiple sites like MTS, TSR, Tumblr, etc. I'm glad you've found your way here to take advantage of the content that is shared on this site. I have a lot of cc in my Mods folder as well over 2,000 files actually and I'm surprised my game still runs well on my laptop. I'm glad you've been enjoying the sims, make sure to take advantage of the Origin sales so you don't have to pay full price for most of the games because some of them are really not worth full price. Actually, I think the Holiday sale just ended today, but they have sales all the time so I'd wait for another one. It's great to meet you as well and I hope you keep on enjoying your mod-filled game!

Hello All, I joined way back in 2016, but before I could get settled in, I stopped playing the sims. I switched from Windows to a Mac, had crashes when I used Windows and had to replace a screen as well as body case on the Mac. After having to backup & reinstall files especially since I download a lot, I lost interest and got into Asian dramas while being a mom. However, I'm back now so I felt I should reintroduce my self while trying to catch up on two years of sim stuff I missed. This time around I'm hoping I can be patient enough to learn 3D Modeling to create meshes & eventually my on CC.

I'm sorry to hear about all the trouble you were having back in 2016, but it's 2019 and you're ready to roll! For your specific goals, I suggest doing some of the meshing tutorials for objects and/or clothing HERE. With a bit of hard work and some practice, you'll be making your dream cc in no time! Good luck!
