Hi All, Alex here! I'm a relatively new TS4 player- I (accidentally) bought the game again early last year. I tried to install it back when it released and my computer just...refused. I don't create much, just recolours of things I'd like. I'd like to learn mesh editing but blender is so intimidating The range of my skills is painting colours in GIMP My latest idea for a recolour is just a matching plain swatch for the geometric wall pattern from Vintage Glamour- a whole wall of it looks so gaudy! My interests include The Sims, Minecraft and photography. I'm kinda almost halfway bilingual- I can speak a fair bit of Mandarin, but I'm still learning.

I'm not sure how someone accidentally buys something, but y'know what? I'm glad you finally got it to work on the second try! I do absolutely agree; when it comes to Blender, it can have a bit of a learning curve (I still don't really get it). If you haven't already, I'd try out some of our tutorials HERE which can help you get a feel for the program. Once you master that, you can make anything to your heart's content. Of course, there's nothing wrong with sticking to recolors if that's what's within your comfort zone! If you ever need help with a project you're working on, feel free to ask for help HERE after looking to see if anyone else has had a similar problem to yours before. Good luck in all your future endeavors!

Hi I'm Karolina and I stand by CarollDesign/Caroll91 (TSR). I play sims since very early 2000s starting from the original Sims, and ending on current Sims 4. I started to create housing around 3 years ago and CC this year. I fell in love in S4S in late April and it's my primary tool to create my walls and floors for Sims. Hello, Nice to meet you! You and I seem to have a few things in common. I too started making CC this year. I recolor hairs, clothing, objects, creating walls and floors too. I was wondering have you made any multiple mural walls? I am working on a set but I stuck need some assist with make them seamless. Hi there 🙂. I photoshopped them 😂. Mine are not seamless unfortunately. Bakie did a great tutorial how to make seamless multiple wallpapers, it is somewhere located in tutorials here xx

Hey, I joined here not too long ago and I'm eager to share some creations.
I mostly make recolors of clothes, and occasionally wall hangings and wallpaper. Just cute/funny stuff.

Recolors are awesome! Honestly, they're pretty underrated but a good recolor can completely transform anything! It's great to have you here, eager to share your work. If you haven't done so already, head over HERE to create a Creator Studio. All you have to do is upload your package files to a third party site (like Simfileshare, Dropbox or Google Drive) and copy a download link over to a post on your Creator Studio thread. Add an image and description and BOOM! That's all you need to do. I'm excited to see what you have to share! Happy simming!

I honestly don't know if I've ever done this before. I stopped playing sims for a couple years and have recently started playing again, pretty much daily for a couple hours. I mostly build and lately I've been wanting to do some recolors as I don't find enough options in game. I'm up-to-date with everything except the new Island Living expansion. These forums throw me a bit as I can't seem to find what I'm looking for in recent posts. I just downloaded the latest version of S4S and did some art recolors. In attempting to index my build section, I'm getting an error "FoundationResource version 7 is not supported. This most likely means that the game has patched beyond what this version of Studio supports. Please check for an updated version of Sims 4 Studio." I have only the latest PC version installed: 3.1.2.4 (Wishes) and have gone through the checklist found on the error/bug report page; ran repair on my game, still no go. Any suggestions where I can find current information? I really want to recolor some walls and am feeling a bit frustrated. Thank you.

I'm sorry that you are having this issue but it should be resolved with the latest version of S4S (which just came out nine minutes ago as of writing this)! In the future, whenever Sims gets an update and S4S is falling behind, it's best to just remain patient for an update because it usually comes in no time! I hope you are now able to do the things you were trying to achieve! Happy simming!

I think it's wonderful that you want to contribute back to this community! Honestly, S4S is a live saver in a lot of ways and I've enjoyed using this program a lot! As for you, learning how to make cc couldn't be easier with the help of our amazing tutorials which you can find HERE. They're really useful for getting a hang of the program (as well as other programs like Blender). If you ever need help with a project, see if anyone else has ever encountered the same problem as you HERE. If not, ask! The mods are usually very helpful over there! Good luck on all your future projects!

Hello good people, I am KyriaT, and have been playing Sims since it first came out, and been a lotbuilder since Sims 2. I have too much CC in my Mod-folder, but there are still important things missing. :P I did a few attempts with Sims 3 to make cc, but I was not very successful I think. Maybe it was the tools, but probably it was me. But since there still are cc I can't find, and I still haven't given up on myself as a creator, I decided to give it a new shot. Maybe I will learn how to make something before Sims 5 are released. Happy simming!

Hi, I'm Karitastic. I'm new to modding. I don't think I'm doing it right because the mod I made in the creator studio isn't showing up in-game. So obviously I still have a lot to learn.

I haven't got a chance to get the new EP (I'll probably wait for a sale or something), but it's nice to hear good things about it! It's also great that you want to try your hand at CC creation! If you're stuck, I recommend checking out our list of tutorials HERE because they're a great way to learn the ropes of the program. If you ever need any help, you can look for that HERE and, when you're ready, you can share your creations with the community HERE! Happy simming! A lot of people on this site have stuck with the game since it's first iteration and I think that's awesome! I'm with you when it comes to having too much CC in my game but also feeling like it's never enough. That being said, I think it's awesome that you are thinking about taking the initiative to fill that CC void. Honestly, if that's what you came here to do, then you've come to the right place. D'you know, I've been around on this site for nearly 3 years and only just realised I never made an introduction... I blame senility (I'm 66, a pensioner and retired so I can get away with most things by blaming age...)
Anyway, hi all, I'm a bit of an avid TS4 player (started with TS2 many moons ago) and a bit of a tinkerer with mods and CC. I like to build scenarios for screenplays in my games, so I use as much alpha CC as possible as I do a lot of screengrabs.
I've got some mods available on MTS (same username) and I try to help oiut in the help fora here when I can - also asking lots of questions from the modders on here who are my idols :D
Happy Simming y'all! :D

I think it's great that you've stuck with this community and have helped to keep it alive. Asking tons of questions is a great way of stimulating conversation and allowing modders an opportunity to use their knowledge to help others. It's a cyclic thing that everyone benefits from in the end, so thanks for contributing to that for three years! I hope that you'll continue to stay and support the site and it's creators. Happy simming to you as well!
