Hello everyone! I'm Alistair, and I've been playing The Sims for... way too long! I've hit a bit of a stall in the ultimate question every young adult faces - what are you going to do with your life? I've always been very into computers, and I figure if I learn how to program better than my extremely amateur level, I'll always have something convenient to fall back on even if it's not what I make a full-time career out of in the long-term. Long story short, I thought making (or perhaps trying and failing to make) script mods for TS4 would be a good way to start learning Python. I've admired the CC/mod community for a very long time due to all the cool stuff people have come up with. My game is probably crying over the sheer amount of CC and script mods I have. I have several ideas for mods I'd love to make, some a lot more complex than others. I'm probably starting with my simpler ideas, haha. Currently trying to make a personality trait. I'm unsure if I'm going to try to make any clothing or objects or anything in that category. Might leave that to the more aesthetic individuals among us. If anyone's got any tips, feel free to send them my way! Otherwise, I look forward to interacting with everyone. There's a good chance I may just lurk, though, as I can be a bit shy. Sorry if that happens. Hi! I think it's great that you want to combine a practical skill with a hobby. It sounds like a very smart way to learn something useful while also having fun. There are plenty of other creators that are professionals in their respective fields and use their knowledge for making cc. Using that as a jumping off point is a smart move on your end. That being said, S4S is mostly used for making clothing and objects but that doesn't mean it can't be used for script mods. I think looking at tutorials revolving around script mods will benefit you the most. Don't be afraid to also look at tutorials on other modding sites like Mod the Sims for help. And, of course, if you ever need help with a project, you can go looking (or asking) for it HERE. I'm super sorry for the very late welcome and I hope you've been learning a lot since the time you posted this. I can't wait to see the things you create in the future! Good luck! Hi everybody A late introduction from a dane who's venturing into modding and the modding community. I didn't see the introduction thread before I already had created a post on some of the other threads. Anyway, I've been playing The Sims since the release of The Sims 2 for pc. I've always wanted to create a mod for a game, it happened to be for The Sims 4 and it was the obvious choice when having Photoshop and Blender as a hobby. I'm already working on custom content from scratch and I hope to upload someting soon. :D Hello! It's never too late to say hello, though, I am sorry that I haven't welcomed you earlier. Either way, I'm glad that you're here! Without an introduction, I love that you've already started working on your creations! I also started playing the Sims with the Sims 2 (or at least my first PC introduction). It's great to see that you're completing your childhood dream of making custom content! Keep up the great work and continue to make cool stuff. Don't forget to leave likes and comments on the creations of your favorite creators, too! A little love goes a long way and what comes around, goes around! Happy simming!

Hello! I have been a member for a little while but have never posted. I am sure you can imagine why I am posting now......CRASH! I have been playing SIMS since the day 1 launch of the original SIMS. I have 2, 3, and of course 4. I just really got into CC and Mods in the last year due to a crippling disease. I find myself escaping the daily struggles vicariously thru my Sims. Honestly it keeps me from also escaping in pain medications. I have spent every waking hour since the Update trying to fix my game. I am going insane LOL I need my fix. HAHA Does ajyone know of a solution as of yet? I appreciate any possible feedback there may be.
Thank you for your time and Happy Simming.
Dawn Logan Hi Dawn! It looks like we both are a little late to posting on this thread. Let's make a deal, if you can forgive my late reply, then I'll forgive you for not posting an intro (not that it's a big deal of course, haha). Anyway, I think it's great that you found a way to turn a bad situation into a good outlet. Creating custom content can be a lot of fun until, as you figured out, it gets stressful. Now, I don't know exactly what issue you're referring to, but I can try to help by directing you to forums that might be able to help you out (if you're still having the issue that is): If it's an issue with your custom content, look for help HERE. If it's an issue with the game itself, you can ask for help HERE. If it's an issue with anything else, go HERE. I hope whatever problem you're having gets fixed. If you do end up creating custom content, don't forget that you can share it with the world by making a Creator Studio HERE. Even if you don't think it's much, with how big this community is, I'm sure there'll be tons of players who'd love to have your CC in their game! Either way, make sure to leave likes and comments on your favorite creations. It means a lot to the creators and the more love you spread around, the more likely it'll come back to you! Good luck and happy simming to you, too! Hello, I'm new here~ I wanted to help with the CC broken bed situation for the new University patch so I've come aboard to post the troublesome CC. Hi there! Sorry for the late reply but it's great to have you here! As for that issue, that sort of thing is best suited for the Creator Help section HERE! In general, that's where you want to go if you or anyone else is having any issue with pieces of custom content. If you think this issue is widespread enough to warrant a batch fix from S4S, then you can reply to this thread HERE. I hope that helps! Happy simming! Hi, I'm pretty new to anything outside EA content and I'm trying to learn. Right now, after registering and all that, I cannot find the download link for the Studio program. I go follow the "download open beta windows etc etc" and for the life of me I cannot find an option to download the program. What am I missing? Am I hopeless? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks! Ooops...never mind, I found it. I just had to scroll down a little further than I expected. Usually the links are at the bottom or top, you know...Plus I'm kinda slow. Hi! Sorry for the late reply but I'm glad you were able to figure it out. Don't worry though, we've all made mistakes like that before. I just want to let you know that general website questions are best suited for the General Chat forum HERE! This forum is really only used for introductions and, if you post questions like that in here, you're likely not to get a helpful response. Either way, enjoy using S4S now! If you haven't done so already, you can look through our selection of tutorials HERE to learn a lot about how the program works. If you're having issues with one of your pieces of custom content, you can look for help HERE. And, of course, when you're ready to share your work with the world, you can do so by opening up a Creator Studio HERE! Good luck and happy simming!

Hi All,
I'm Cherel, I have been playing the sims since I was a teenager, starting with sims theme park to sims 4. I wanted to try something different and learn to create content that other might be able to enjoy. I have minor experience in coding but I look forward to learning and building my skills. Hi you! This is actually the first time I've ever heard of the Sims Themepark, haha! I started from a spin off Sims game, too, with the My Sims games. I'm glad that we both made our way here and trying our hands at custom content creation! I'm really looking forward to seeing you growing your knowledge of coding and making something really cool out of it. If you haven't seen these already, I'd love to give you some helpful links: You can check out our list of tutorials HERE. If you need any help with a project, you can see if other people have encountered the same problem as you before HERE. If not, ask! Once you're happy with a creation, you can share it with the world by opening up a Creator Studio HERE! Also, as a heads up, it's best to refrain from different fonts or different font colors. It keeps the forums from being an eyesore and it may be hard to read for those who are colorblind. Just letting you know! I wish you the best of luck on all your future projects! Hi my name is kailani, I'm newish here and I need help. You see I'm trying to use blender to make hazbin hotel cc's. My first project I'm trying to do is alastors ears and horns. But I got his ears and antlers from a mmd model. Now I did that it's just a blender file. I export a hat mesh from the sims 4 studio and i joined the hat and object together, I tried linking them together by joining, i even made them one showing as the mesh it's self. But when I import it i get nothing! I delete the hat don't even add the ears to test if it's just me and still nothing! I even added blender objects figuring my troubles was cause my mesh was from a mmd model but still nothing! I keep getting the same red hat! I really need help. Hello! I actually just watched the pilot for that the other day and I'm also a little bit of a fan of it, too! Now, for your particular issue, this isn't the best forum to be looking for help. I have some guesses to what could be causing the issues but you're better off asking for help HERE. Well, first I would see if anyone else has tried to do the same thing as you and follow their steps. But, if you can't find anything like that, then you are free to ask for help yourself! I hope you're able to figure it out! I can't wait to see the final creation! Hi Simmers! I am a 27y old university student with a super creative mind! I have been playing the Sims since I was 8y old and still enjoy playing it today! I have been using S4S mostly for my own gameplay, but I have recently decided to upgrade my creations and start sharing them on modthesims. I am a very perfectionistic person so I put a lot of time in making things perfect 🙈 and next to my study I can't really keep up with all the new ideas that pop up in my head but I hope that the things that I put out there are still appreciated (Btw can anyone explain to me how I can send a message in the bug and error thread? I have been experiencing some problems and tried everything but I seem only to be able to post a message here.) Happy Simming! Narcolepzzzy Hi simmer! Many people on this site (including me) have all grown up playing the Sims and it's one of the many things we creators share! It's great that you've built up the courage to share your work with the world, though I might as well point out that you can share your work on this site, too, by making a Creator Studio HERE. But, of course, that's up to you! As for the Bug Thread, we require you to have accumulated at least 50 posts before you are able to post there. This is to keep it from getting spammed. However, it's not a lost cause. Make sure you check out these troubleshooting tips HERE to see if that helps. If not, you can try asking for help in the General Chat forum HERE. Or, of course you can work towards that 50 post limit. It may seem like a lot, but luckily there are many places you can post. You can welcome other newbies in this forum here, post sim pictures HERE or even participate in different discussions like HERE and HERE. Either way, I can't wait to see what you create in the future! As always, make sure to support your fellow creator by leaving likes and comments on their creations when you can. A little love goes a long way! Good luck and happy simming to you, too!

Hi. I'm a 30 years old college student (in preparation stages to go to grad school for musicology - music history, which is why I chose my username!), and I've been playing The Sims since the tail-end of The Sims 1's life. (I got into it in 2003/early 2004).
Anyway, I have always really wanted to mod, but have never been brave enough to try it, since I'm terrible with coding and also terribly artistically (no way could I ever actually create a model). However, I figured out that making simple edits like recolors and resizing objects might be doable even for me and over the last couple of days I've learnt that to be true thanks to this tool, Blender, and helpful people here and otherwise.
(I'm going somewhere with the following, I promise!) I'm a bit odd, though, and that my favorite The Sims objects to get are trees and other outdoor plants. I like landscaping, and being a fan of winter, I became drawn to The Sims 4 in this really shallow way because for the first time ever, EA put a lot of detail into plants changing for the seasons (in previous games it was almost exclusively the trees, which just wasn't enough). SO, my ultimate goal in modding is to learn how to mod EA and older CC plants (for personal use, of course) that don't change with the seasons to change.
It's one thing I've noticed that pretty much only I seem to care about, so it's brought me on-board to learn modding so I can have it fixed. But it's also complicated, so I may not be able to do it. *sigh*

Hello hello honey hey, don't be discouraged! It seems you already know about the tutorials section so I can only tell you that I encourage you a lot (That's why I haven't given you the link since it seems you already know that section) Try asking if you need help in this section: sims4studio.com/board/8/creator-helpAnyway, maybe there are some simblrs modders that can help you, although I don't know many really if I can think of one, maybe then I change this post (maybe brazenlotus maybe you could ask him don't know if you answer questions? or zerbu??or scarlet-mods??and forgotten-hollow??it's just so that they may guide you with the creation of a mod mm..although everything depends on the time you are clear) good luck and have fun in this beautiful community ^^

Hi, my name's Seymon, but I'm called Merit on the interwebs by a lot of my online friends. I'm in my early twenties, and yet I've only been an occasional player of the Sims 3. Generally speaking, I've been more into the Sims Freeplay for the longest, but I've recently purchased the Sims 4 and two of the packs (read: Realm of Magic and Vampire) and really gotten into playing again. All in all, I'm a dude who is trying to go back to school as soon as possible, but I've also been interested in creating my own game pack mod in light of some excessive writing I've been doing with a friend and am more than willing to read everything here in order to figure this out (it's been easily seven of so years since I've done any sort of programming, but this should be good, I imagine). Thank you guys for reading my dribble, and if anybody has any advice for a noob, I'm open to it. (Edited for some weird errors on my part, I'm still new to this site rip)
