Hi everyone, my Name is Penny.I've missed the startup of Sims 2 at least I recolored some stuff for it. End of the Song was I created 10 Years for Second Life, so I am no Newbie at Photoshop and Blender. Meanwhile Sims 3 came out but I hated the "I wont play with you today and crash" factor....that's the reason I am excited to play Sims 4 ! I can't wait to create things up from the first round and I hope you guys will help me a little to be successful on this

Hi msbrina, welcome to the forums If you're getting started creating custom content for Sims 4 recolors are a fun way to get your feet wet. You will need a 2D editor if you don't already have one. I recommend Paint.net because it is free and can handle the images the game uses. You can get that here: www.getpaint.net/You will also need a tool made especially for Sims 4 to get your recolors into the game and of course I recommend Sims 4 Studio for that. You can download that here: There are a couple tutorials on how to do this. I recommend Brujah's video tutorial series. He covers how to create your new image in paint.net and he also goes over making the actual recolor. You can find his videos here:

I loved your work in The Sims 2. I am in anticipation for your work in the Sims 4.
Greetings Everyone:
I am #uhriahx. I have been playing The Sims franchise since The Sims 2. I wasn't into The Sims 1 or 3, but I am back playing version 4 of the franchise. I was so excited to have the game return back to version 1 and 2 style game play.
I am a Black male originally from the New York City, but I currently live just outside of Bangkok, Thailand. I play The Sims 4 everyday for about 4-6 hours per day.
My favorite aspect of the new game is the multi-tasking and the ease of lot construction. The build/buy mode is so much more powerful and easier to use. I have been cranking out lots and rooms like crazy!
Alas, I'm still not satisfied with my Sims 4 experience. I want more. Being a Black male, I want more #afro-centric hair styles. That being said, I would like to learn how to create custom hair, clothing, and objects. So I joined this forum to learn how to do so.

Welcome uhriahx. I would love to see your pics of Thailand....I want to visit there myself. We're working on getting new hairs, clothes, and objects into the game so you're in the right place and we're glad to have you here.

I play sims since the sims are born, excepted sims 3, that i didn't like the face of the sims. I like to learn and learn more about sims créations, especially clothes, genetic and sims.

Hello,
I would like to thank the developers of Sims 4 Studio that have inspired me to create clothes for this new opus. This is the first time I try since I play the Sims. I did not much like Sims 3, especially because of the weird faces, but I'm always happy to find designers of quality who share their work.
I do not speak a fluent English because I am originally a native of the little archipelago St Pierre And Miquelon, located in the northwestern Atlantic Ocean.

Hi BobbyTH, it's great to meet you and nice to have you here. I've seen your wonderful custom content for Sims 3 We're still working on making it so that clothing will work properly with the EA sliders which is why S4S does not offer the option to work with those meshes yet. Hopefully it won't be much longer.

Hi there, Since I've been "stalking" that board for two days now, I possibly should introduce myself. I'm called Jette (some kind of German Name or so...) and I am living in Berlin, Germany. That might explain, why my english might be funny sometimes !So far, I am 26 years old and I am studying Mechanical Engineering here in Berlin at the University. Before studying I learned the job as digital media designer, so Photoshop is my best friend c: ! I have been playing the Sims since the first part of the game, but earlier I never made own content. With the Sims 4 now I started to make some small steps with own Recolors and now I also try to make own meshes - with more or less success :D! I am totally new to Blender, too, but I did a couple of tutorials, so I am slowly getting into it ! Have a nice day & kind regards, Trinity
