Hello I joined to download Sims Studio and also to learn how to recolour clothing and objects. I have a basic knowledge of GIMP/Photoshop and Blender but haven't made any content before. My first Sims was Sims 1 for console. I missed out on Sims 2 but played Sims 3 and loved it. Now I have Sims 4 and I'm really missing the CASt option. Luckily this can be remedied somewhat with custom content. Looking forward to learning  |

Hello, I'm so excited to be here! I've been playing since TS1 and I find mods and cc so important to improved gameplay. I've made a little bit of cc, simple wallpapers and flooring, and I've been thinking I'd love to learn to do more. And then I found your site Thank you thank you for all your work. Hi I am Anichelle from the US. I have been playing sims since 2009 starting with TS3. a friend of mine got me started playing it. now I play sims 4 and lately have taken an interest in custom content. I downloaded the programs and here I am I have been practicing, I do ok with the easier things. the more difficult things don't turn out so good lol |

Hey everyone.
After a pretty long "I-do-not-want-to-sim-at-all"-summer period, I am finally getting my play and creation mojo back, so I thought it high time to introduce myself.
My name is Phyre, a 20-something student from the Netherlands. I've been a sims gamer since TS1 and CC creator since TS3. Most of my TS3 creations were patterns, conversions, tweaks, or custom builds, with a few for-friends-only items. Nothing too exciting but doing those (with the help of Eric from B5Studio and Sandy from ATS) taught me a LOT about CC making and the process in general that proved invaluable for my current endeavours. Since working more with 3dsmax professionally (for uni work) and getting much better at it, a whole new world of CC making was opened up to me as meshing and mapping is just SO much easier with this (to me) more intuitive software. Hopefully I will find the stamina to see a project through to the end, because right now I have a set with roughly a dozen objects sitting on my harddrive, all meshed and mapped, but the thought of a zillion recolours and then custom thumbnails of those zillion reclour is driving me insane. In that regards, TS3 was a lot easier with CAS.
So that was a little bit about me. Hope to see you all on the forums!

Sims 4 Studio is a user-friendly tool, there are a ton of tutorials to get you started, and if you run into questions we have a friendly creator help section where you can ask them Hi phyre, welcome to Studio forums...it's so nice to have you here! I hope you won't let the thought of recolors and catalog thumbnails dissuade you from sharing custom content for Sims 4. There are many people who love doing recolors and there's no reason you have to do more than you feel like. If you allow recoloring it is likely that other artists who enjoy that part of creating will make them. Catalog thumbnails are no longer the absolute torture they were back at the start...Studio's streamlined method for making them has taken a lot of the pain out of the process (although I agree with you...they can get tedious). In the future we plan to add even more features that will make it even easier too |

After a few minutes of scratching my head, I finally managed to register here! (I think something was wrong with the captcha servers...!)
I hope to use S4S to do some conversions of the hair I love from Sims 2 and Sims 3 into Sims 4! Thanks to everyone creating this wonderful software.
