Hi, I want to recolour a vest from the male clothes, but I want to recolour the female version. How do I do that? Sims 4 studio only shows it in the male category, so when I edit the texture and check both gender flags, it shows the male body with a female head in the preview. However I want the female body like in the game.

Hi. Not all unisex clothing has 2 separate meshes. In most cases the change between frames is achieved through morphing. Anyway, since you do not actually need a mesh for what you're planning on doing, recolor the male version, then in Categories switch Fashion choice (if my memory serves me well, this is what it's called) to Feminine instead of Masculine

Sorry to say that doesn't work. It uses the male model in game too. Is there a way to put just the texture into the package without the mesh?

I tried and it worked. Does your garment have Restrict opposite gender or Restrict Opposite frame checked? Try to uncheck them. Also, if it does, there's a chance there is a separate mesh for this garment. Try entering its name in the search bar.

No to both of those. This is the original clothing from the game. Its name is something like CardiganCollar_Yellow. It can only be found in the male cathegory in Sims4Studio, but if I put it on a female in game, it morphs correctly. This is my texture edit. It looks fine if I leave it like this and don't change any flags. However if I change gender and fashion choice to female and reload the textures, it looks like this in Sims4Studio and in game. I don't know what I'm missing.

Nono, you're changing the wrong thing. That part should stay at Male only. What you should change to female is Modeauswahl. The preview will not update, s4s cannot morph the mesh the way the game does. This garment will just start to appear in CAS in womenswear section

Did you use 'Create 3D Mesh' when you made the .package? Try using add CAS part swatch or create CAS standalone for your recolour and make sure it's not restricted for the opposite gender, and it should work. edit- the page didn't refresh before i made this post oops
