So I'm making my first pose (which is actually 2 poses) and the first one is fine when I try to import it but the second pops up with an error message saying I haven't set a keyframe in the .blend file. I went back in and tried to figure out how to but I couldn't find anything, I was wondering what the solution for this is?

Well, I am new to this too, but I have a method that has worked for me. Basically, creating a pose, exporting as .obj file and importing into the blend file of the second pose. I see no reason you couldn't just add additional sim poses in the same way.

Did you remember to lock the pose? And have you done the 2 poses as 2 separate files or are you trying to place them in the same file as you would an animation?
I've gotten an error when I've forgotten to lock the pose. The first pose making tutorial I ever read dealt with using the keyframe but I soon found out it's not necessary to do anything with them unless you're doing an animation.
