whats best way to assign necklace weight or what am i missing? i guess this happened after assigning weight, because before i do that necklace appeared better just not moving accurately with body its very high poly because i used free 3D stuff to build and i had to reduce a lot so it does look weird, its fine from far and i dont mind but is there something i am missing to make it look better? before weight on studio

Hi. You need to transfer weights from the body. - unfold rig, make top visible and selectable; - select top, Shift-select the necklace, transfer weights with the following settings, use Clean and Limit total tools. - remove unused vertex groups with this addon. (Type 0 and click Purchase, it's free. Put downloaded file in Blender\2.78\scripts\addons. Install it ( File - Preference - type remove in the search bar - enable the addon - Save user Settings - restart Blender). Transfer a uv_1 from the same top with these settings Vertex paint the mesh with 007F00

i tried to follow exactly what you wrote and this is the result maybe its just because of mesh fault not weight? this is the file if you want to check in case i did something wrong
it takes long time since its high poly so if blender file needs fix let me know and i will try to retest again on game

Incorrect uv_1 will cause distortion. In my experience it is very difficult to make uv_1 for necklaces, I have never seen any creator using uv_1. The best approach is to delete uv_1 (and also UVMap that is not suppose to be in the file) and move the mesh further from body. Also 80K polys is completely not game friendly and will cause lagging on many machines if you were planning to release it for the public. 3500 polys is the best amount for necklaces and 10K is absolutely max, but it will be considered crazy high poly.

Have you considered baking the necklace into texture?
