Hello! I'm currently trying to add buffs to Sims when running a custom interaction. At the moment, buffs are only added to the Sim "sending" the interaction but not for the one "receiving"
I want the Sims to receive different buffs as well, but I've been slowly reading through the "Cheer Up" interaction and can't find anything
The interaction itself is working, it's injected into the Friendly pie menu and shows the correct animations

Hi MizoreYukii, thanks for the reply! I managed to get it working, applying buffs to both Sims, but for some reason the buff doesn't appear properly
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <I c="Buff" i="buff" m="buffs.buff" n="boopidoop_Bepis" s="11384702224930823464"> <T p="InGame\Audio\Stings\sting_buff_gain.propx" n="audio_sting_on_add">39b2aa4a:00000000:8af8b916cf64c646</T> <T p="InGame\Audio\Stings\sting_buff_loss.propx" n="audio_sting_on_remove">39b2aa4a:00000000:3bf33216a25546ea</T> <T n="buff_description">0xBC2C0BE9<!--String: "Taking a good lickin' can make a Sim feel a bit dazed."--></T> <T n="buff_name">0xF50D7842<!--String: "Beaten Up!"--></T> <T p="InGame\UI\Icons\Buffs\buffs_hadafight_neg.png" n="icon">2f7d0004:00000000:176e1332791c1b01</T> <T n="mood_type">14644<!--Mood: Mood_Dazed--></T> <T n="mood_weight">4</T> </I> Some of it works, in that the dazed effect appears, but the buff itself never appears and the Sim's interaction queue disappears. Any idea where I'm going wrong?
Sorry if I'm asking questions that have been answered time and time again, I've tried looking for tutorials but the few I've found haven't really helped

Sorry if I'm asking questions that have been answered time and time again, I've tried looking for tutorials but the few I've found haven't really helped Did you do the SimData too? SimData needs to be done as well in order for UI changes to appear, and be careful editing them otherwise it can also cause crashes and weird UI glitches. So don't delete anything, only replace the black text (except for very rare circumstances). I'm also not seeing a Visible = True in your file. www.patreon.com/posts/tutorial-lets-31903086www.patreon.com/posts/tutorial-lets-to-31923603

That was it, thank you! I completely forgot about the SimData!

Might as well keep this in here to avoid spam. I'm mostly just messing around with buffs and social interactions at the moment and was wondering if it's possible to change a sim's CAS values from a buff? Eg. say something to a sim and your head gets bigger
I've been looking specifically at "appearance_modifier" but as far as I can tell, that's for changing clothing and I can't see how to parse values into it, ie. sim head slider at 0.3
I've also looked through the different pregnancy and sickness buffs but can't get my head round them

If anything it would be a trait, like this one that you can take apart and look at: www.patreon.com/posts/force-breasts-on-37479326I believe pregnancy traits also do the same thing by enlarging the belly. I have never seen a buff do body modifications though as appearance modifiers are anything clothing or makeup. I don't know about presets, but if you can make or find an enlarging head preset that might work, but again never seen that happen.
