Hello! I'm trying to create some deco sims for my story using this tutorial, but I can't import my mesh into S4S. When I try, I get this error. Here's a dropbox folder with my package file and both blender files.
I'm extremely new to blender and S4S, but I'd appreciate any insight anyone might have!
ETA: I started over entirely using the tutorial - if I don't change the 'cut' setting, I can import with no error message but the mesh doesn't load. If I change the cut setting, I can't import and I get the same error message.

You need to make sure everything that needs to be in the same group is in the same group before you change the Cut number and import the file to S4Studio. The file you uploaded has 3 separate groups plus a shadow group, all with the same Cut number. That's probably why it's not working.
If you use the statue shown in the tutorial as the base, you have to use the same cut numbers for your mesh (if 0 is the shadow and 1 is the statue, it needs to be so for your mesh to properly import).
It's also possible the feet didn't follow when you made the pose, because they were positioned a bit strange compared to the boy (under him instead of coming out of the pants).

Your object doesn't have any bone assignment. Compare with the original knight mesh, the entire mesh is assigned to transformBone. Also, your mesh doesn't contain a proper cut number and there 3 separate objects. 1. Combine head and body into one mesh. 2. Delete uv_2 3. In vertex groups add transformBone, select all vertices and click "assign". 4. Change cut number to 1.

Thank you, that makes sense--I'm running into issues combining the head and the rest of the mesh. The head was originally part of the rig, and I can click 'Join,' but it stays a separate object. Any idea why I might be having that issue or what I can do to resolve?
EDIT: Solved that piece of it! There's a cursor icon next to the object name that was greyed out on the head, but filled in on the other objects. When I clicked it to fill it in, I was able to join the head and the rest of the mesh.

Thank you both, Feyona and Simmerish20! I was able to make the corrections you indicated and import the meshes! Still some troubleshooting to do, but my initial problem was solved. I'm off to the races!
