So I am working on fixing madhox's wall microwaves, but I am recreating the item and just using his meshes because he has custom tuning that is no longer compatible with the game. So everything is perfect except for when I go to click on the microwave it says "This item cannot be used on the ground". So how would I go about fixing that?

Hi You need to go in the warehouse tab, then Object entry. There, untoggle the "Requires slot" and change the value of Slot Deco Size by 1. You'll need to do this for every swatches, so each Object catalog entry

Sorry you're right. I tried to place it and it worked, but I didn't try to use it with my Sims... After studying more deeply the item it seems that this would need the use of advanced tuning and i'm not good enough to help you :(
I extracted the tuning of the microwave and tried to mess with the starting interaction, but I cant find what keeps it from using from the ground. Maybe a modder will more be able to help you?

I had to extract the "interaction object microwave start crafting" and then go to lines 167 of xml and change it from enabled to disabled. The only problem now that I have is the object only works when on counters. It can go on wall but it results in route failure unless I add it to a counter and then it works. So I am now unsure how to fix this. If it isn't one thing it is another!
