[PROBLEMS SOLVED]Hi, I need some help figuring out why there is a black space around the object mesh that I appended to a scene in Blender (2.83). I'm trying to make renders, so I would usually append whatever props (the meshes that I exported from sims4studio) into the scene of the set that I would create, and then run a render on cycles and take pictures (screenshots) of my sim and the set. However, there is this thick black outline/space that surrounds the meshes that belong to the plants (namely the palm trees, or debug grasses and daises) that I exported from sims4studio as props, and it persists even when I render the scene through cycles. What I'm trying to achieve is the following texture for grass (no weird blocky black mesh around the texture of the grass/flowers): Example 01 , Example 02 [open in new tab, to see examples in tumblr post] [all credits to Ridgeport @ tumblr.com] I'm new to blender, so maybe this is something that's obvious, but I can't figure this out. So I'd appreciate any help i can get.

Both links are privated. You need to share access. Sorry, thanks for telling me. I put some links to the posts on tumblr that I am referencing. I don't really know how to use the site that well, so I'm not sure how to add an image that's not privated it seems...

I don't really understand what kind of blocky dark texture do you mean and what kind of mesh are you trying to render. It would be easier to tell if you'd shared the file. Your mesh might be completely different from the mesh that is on the picture that you shared, therefore cycles set up would be different. There are too many variations.

Actually, I asked for the files, blender files. It is easier to see the files than trying to figure out by just looking at the picture. Anyway, if you mean the texture on the leaves then you need to set up the node this way.

Ohhhh, okay, I understand. I'll send the files as well, and meanwhile I'll watch the video. Here's the file: Dropbox Blender File

What version of Blender did you use? There is an empty file when I open in 2.76. Did you use a newer version? Edit: opened it in 2.82. Files made in newer versions would not open in 2.7 series. You should mention what version of Blender do you work. 2.82 uses a different set up. Scroll down to transparency with alpha. www.katsbits.com/codex/transparency-cycles/

Oops sorry yeah, I did it Blender 2.83. So sorry, I thought I mentioned that... Since its a sims 4 render I wanted to do it in the latest version (because its easier to use for me).
