Hi,
Newbie question, sorry. :-)
I'm translating a mod that add a custom trait. In the game, this custom trait apply new buffs to my sim (active sim) but also to other sims that are near my sim.
When I use {M0.}{F0.}{0.SimFirstName}, no problem. In the game, the text in the buffs is always correctly displayed. That's ok !
But when I use {M1.}{F1.}{1.SimFirstName} the text is never displayed in the game.
For example, when a NPC is close to my sim and I want him to think : "What a cool man / woman". I write : "What a cool {M1.man}{F1.woman}. Am I right ?
Result in the game : What a cool --- --- It does not work. Why ? I do something wrong ?
The {M1.}{F1.}and {1.SimFirstName} indications are for NPC or sims around my sim, no ? I have searched infos about that question but did not find solution.
Voila. I hope you can help. Have a nice day anyway ! :-)

Are you trying to translate {M1.}{F1.}{1.SimFirstName} into a different language, or you meant you aren't touching it but the game is still breaking it? Because these tokens are not to be translated, I believe someone had a similar issue and someone explained you don't.

Are you trying to translate {M1.}{F1.}{1.SimFirstName} into a different language, or you meant you aren't touching it but the game is still breaking it? Hi Mizore Yuki,
The original mod was made for female only but during the translation I decided to make it avalaible for male and female. So there was no {M1.}{F1.} in the original mod, I added it myself.
And if there was some {1.SimFirstName} in the original mod I'm sure I did not changed it.

Because these tokens are not to be translated, I believe someone had a similar issue and someone explained you don't. Ha ? I didn't know it. But as I said, I think I did not translate no {M1.}{F1}.
Ho ?! Do you mean I should try to add an English text in those {M1.}{F1.} ? (cause the original mod is in English) If the reply is yes, that will anyway not solve the {1.SimFirstname} issue (not showing in the game).
