I tried to download some items here and when I click download, it starts to open one drive. It says I have to sign in or create an account. Is this new?

No. Maybe some ppl gave the wrong download link. Could you link an example?
Here is a test-download from mine. See if you have to log in. It worked. I see the download tab. I tried to download something that The Shed had made. I'll check again and see. THANK YOU for helping!

@luvmysimz--I tried to download something from The Shed just now and it still sends me to a page for One Drive and it tells me to sign in or login.

Sometimes OneDrive tries to get me to log in when a link is actually broken, which I think it its way of saying 'hey, maybe this link is broken because you have to be logged in to access it?' and then trying to fix that "problem" even though that's not what's wrong.

Since I'm still logged in to OneDrive from the last time it wanted me to log in to see if it would unbreak a link, I went to that creator studio and clicked on the download links in each of the first and last posts made there. Both of them told me the file was either not there or not available to me, so a) it was probably wanting you to log in for exactly the reason I said, and b) it sounds like she already knows something is going on and is working on it (plus she has been tagged in this thread just in case any of this info is new to her after all).
Sounds like we've identified the reason for the thing you posted about. In this case the creator is active and working on the problem, so all you need to do is try again another day and/or watch for new posts with news about the issue.
