i am a total newbie to making cc, full disclaimer, and this should all seem very stupid but i need someone to explain to me why my mesh isn't importing and how i can fix it here is the mesh i am using, i converted it from a pmx using mmd tools

I am no genius. Most defo not an animator. But i would think your poses are slightly uhm... well, it isn't done correctly at all. its to big, you might have messed up the rigs. I think there should be an tutorial made about making poses and how to do that here on the forums.

Hi. Neither the rig nor the mesh are adapted to be imported in s4s or functional in The Sims 4. The mesh is using a foreign rig, is way too big, will not morph or project textures the right way You should read or watch tutorials on pose making and mesh conversion before attempting because it is not straight-forward or a matter of minutes. ( or better try something else or just give up because this is most certainly not a beginner friendly mesh, especially the tail part, it will not behave the way you want in TS4 because there are no tail bones for humans, you could make a custom rig but will also have to overwrite all major animations )
