I've searched for answers for this but I cant find anything to help me. I've re installed S4S and checked the sims 4 path my game is located at D:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\The Sims 4, as well as TS4 documents. My problem is when I go to create new content such as a mask because I convert them for children, nothing loads but the model, the swatch thumbs are there but there is no texture file at all the only file that shows up is the specular black and white file, no shadow and no diffuse, the texture doesn't even load on the model. Makeup wont even load as well, I noticed this problem when I updated s4s for the MAC makeup when I was converting it for children, it shows up in game just fine but not in studio. Pleas help. Also the program crashes when I add a new swatch.

Can you upload the package file and the mesh you're working with? Then someone can take a look at it.

Hi. We do not need the files, it is an installation/settings problem. After you set up the game path, did you close the program?
if this won't help, try to reinstall it, set it up the right way, close s4s, then restart the program.

I have discovered that the new Mac Makeup along with latest face mask texture maps will not show up and when I add a swatch the program crashes. Everything else works fine, clothing accessories, hair, hats the textures show up and adding a swatch does not shut down the program. I don't know whats going on with it on my computer but it always worked before.

Isn't there a problem with S4S being able to work with that specific makeup due to it using different file formats? Or was that resolved already?

I've tried installing s4s on my friends computer and it still does the same thing, I'm now wondering if its a bug and needs to be fixed? I've tested other makeup and face paint and they work fine program works fine, just that new mac makeup and new face paint is a problem. I can submit my conversions they still work in game but wont be able to edit the textures in s4s.

It's not that it's a bug (which is when something doesn't work the way it's supposed to), it's that the format of that makeup is very different than other makeup in the game and I didn't think the capability to handle it had been added to S4S at all yet (possibly because the community hadn't fully figured the new format out?). Can someone either confirm this or inform us that my info is outdated/wrong?

Hi. Found this Unfortunately certain makeup now uses a yet to be decoded texture format, LRLE. If you're up to it, some work is going to be involved to recolor one. Take note, this only applies to makeup before the MAC makeup update. Better solution below: sims4studio.com/post/150663/threadOriginal post: 2. Create an "Override" .package of your desired makeup. 3. In the CAS Part, under DiffuseMap, change the Group number to 80000000 4. In the CAS Part, copy the I nstance number underneath DiffuseMap. 5. In a separate window of Sims4Studio open the HD .packages one by one looking for the RLE2 image with the same Instance number. 6. Batch Export that RLE2 Image. (This retains the instance number of the image.) 7. Batch Import that image into your override .package. 8. Save. Close all instances of Sims 4 Studio. 9. Copy over your new .package to the Sims 4 Studio Mods folder. Default location: C:\Users\[UserName]\Documents\Sims 4 Studio\Mods 10. Open Sims 4 Studio again and create CAS as usual using your newly created CC override as the base. Note: Someone seriously should make an override .package for all the changed makeup so people can work with them. But that will take some work. Sims 4 Studio being able to decode LRLE would be preferable, of course.
