Hi. Open a uv_0 map of the reference you're using and examine what you are seeing. Then switch to its uv_1 map and study it as well. As you will see, the maps differ dramatically. The uv_0 is meant for projecting textures onto the surface of the 3d model. The uv_1 is meant for dictating how deformation maps will affect a 3d model. That is their purpose in the game. In Blender there are no deformation maps, so the second map works like the first one. It just project textures. When you switch between maps, the way the texture is being projected changes as well.
So, make sure your garment has 2 uv maps and you are transferring the data to the second one
