Hi, I'm a beginner beginner in recolouring stuff for Sims (I need to recolour just one thing and it's CC). Found out how to recolour objects and import/export stuff in Sims 4 Studio but I'm having trouble figuring out how to put it into game.
What specific stuff do I have to do to get my recoloured objects into the game?
Do I have to save the recolour in Photoshop as PNG? DDS? DDS doesn't seem to work on my Photoshop. Do I need an older version?
It's a mess tbh, I'm so confused trying to figure it all out. I'm doing something wrong but I don't know what and I can't seem to find any answers.
Thanks!
(I'm moving the .package files into my Sims mods folder, by the way. I've tried a few things out to no avail... RIP.)

What you need is this: sims4studio.com/thread/318/recolor-ea-object-sims-studio -- if you're recoloring CC instead of an EA mesh then you would just put the original CC package both in your mods folder AND in your Sims 4 Studio Mods folder so that it shows up in your options when you go to view items you can recolor. You follow the steps to recolor your item in your 2D program and save as either .png or .dds - doesn't matter, and then follow the rest of the steps on the link above. Once you do that, then you copy the new package file you created into your Sims Mod folder (make sure you keep the original CC in your Mod folder otherwise your recolor will not have a "footprint" to sit on and it will show red and not let you place it). You should be good to go with that.
