I'm pretty sure this is a vertex paint and/or uv_1 issue. The faces with the edges touching skin was painted with 007F3F and then blurred on the interior. The rest of the mesh is painted 007F02. I did do a uv_1, it was done manually so it may not be perfect, but I've seen other people's CC get away with having no uv_1 at all. Of course, any help would be highly appreciated.

It does looks like a vertex paint issue; you can try coloring the troublesome part the same color (007F02) as the rest of the mesh! If it doesn't work, I don't know what it might be!

Hi. Try transferring vertex paint from aa similar hair style. It is done the same way as with a uv_1 map but you just choose Vcol instead
If it won't work, share the blend please
