Yesterday I noticed that one part of my mods, the boots have the wrong sound effect, when the sims move.
Like, when they move I hear the step sound of bare feet even though they are actually wearing boots.
I figure this has to do with the nude-shoes mesh being the template for my mods but is there a way to fix this afterwards, so I don't have to do this all over again?
Any help will be much appreciated!

Well I tried something based on a hunch, but it seemed to work. I cloned some boots and copied the AuralMaterialHash in the CAS Part and pasted that number into a nude shoes package. Then the bare feet sounded like boots when walking on hard floors.

Nice, your solution works.
Now the boots have the correct step sound, when the sim moves and I can update my mods to resolve this issue.
Thanks for the help!

Glad it worked! During the testing process, it was interesting to discover that different hard floor types--wood, tile, metal, etc--all produce slightly different sounds in combination with the shoe types. In all these years of playing I never noticed it. I think you could use this same method to make sure CC floors have the desired sound.
