Hi, I am new to this site sort of. I have lerked a bit. I can not seem to find a solution to my issue.. I am trying to export a sign post, specifically one called Ye Olde Bar Sign. I wanted to use this as a base since what I want to make is very similar only Coffee house or Cafe' themed. I can't simply retexture it since i want the shape of the sign it's self to be a bit different. When i went to export the mesh however all I am getting in blender is some lamps and a camera. I have blender 2.79 like the software requests. I have also tried to take these files in to my blender 2.90 to see if it opens in there and well i just get the same result there..
So basically that is just it I am getting no mesh to edit. I did indeed export the shadows as well and tried to append to the new mesh instead of directly opening them in blender and that does nothing as well. I still do not have a model or anything to edit.. Are there certain things that wont export perhaps?
I usually just retexture due to the complicated nature of sims4 3D CC making. I make 3D objects n stuff for Second Life lol but the sims just has to have so much hastle tied in so i don't usually bother lol. Tho I would like to be able to for those times I am feeling extera abitious..

Make sure your Blender and Sims 4 path are correct, but if it's not that, then it's 2.79. 2.79 doesn't work for some people, so you need another version as a bridge, or uninstall 2.79 completely and only use the other one you chose. I use 2.78 as a bridge and 2.79 to work.

Two versions that officially work for the majority are 2.76 and 2.70. 2.78 and 2.79 work for some people.
Also, make sure that you have the correct game path.

hmm well i tried to open it in blender 2.9 after the mesh wouldn't open in 2.79 as that is what I usually use normaly these days but it didn't work. I could attempt a later build of blender 2.79.. a and b. I will download 2.78 too i guess see if that will do anything.

Oh i see. I simply got the version the client wanted me to get. I will try the earlier builds then. My game and blender path is correct btw I have double checked just in case..

You can have as many versions of Blender as you want on the computer. I have 5 of them. Studio needs Blender only as a bridge. You can make the files in any version of Blender, but you need to finish them in that version that worked with Studio.
